  • St. Thomas Aquinas believes Jєωs' worship isn't idolatrous (Summa Theologica II-II q. 10 a. 10 co.):
    Quote from: St. Thomas Aquinas
from the fact that the Jєωs observe their rites, which, of old, foreshadowed the truth of the faith which we hold, there follows this good—that our very enemies bear witness to our faith, and that our faith is represented in a figure, so to speak. For this reason they are tolerated in the observance of their rites.
Is this the common view among Catholic theologians?

The Jєωιѕн religion of Our Lord Jesus Christ's time does not exist anymore, to say that there is even a Jєωιѕн religion is an error, analogous to saying that there is a Protestant religion. Protestantism from it's very inception was splitting and was/is a religion of one person who claims to be a Protestant. Each Protestant is a church of one. It is the same with the Jєωs.
The Vatican II church - Assisting Souls to Hell Since 1962

For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders, insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect. Mat 24:24

  • Did St. Thomas know of text of the тαℓмυd? I remember medieval Christians believed that Jєωs still held the Old Testament faith, until at one point the тαℓмυd was translated by a former Jєω and their vile satanic beliefs were revealed.

Cdl. Cajetan, St. Thomas's great commentator, certainly knew of the тαℓмυd. In his commentary on this Summa article, he said that such books should be censored.
