Are you serious? There is nothing confusing about the h0Ɩ0cαųst. Hitler
thought Judaism was a race and had the nαzιs murder around six million Jєωs. But he didn't stop with them. Anyone who considered a "pollution" to the Aryan race was killed too. This taken from the h0Ɩ0cαųst Museum-Houston -
Between 1939 and 1945, the SS, assisted by collaborationist governments and recruits from occupied countries, systematically killed somewhere between 11 and 14 million people, including about six million Jєωs,[142][143] in cσncєnтrαтισn cαмρs, ghettos and mass executions, or through less systematic methods elsewhere. In addition to those gassed to death, many died as a result of starvation and disease while working as slave labourers (sometimes benefiting private German companies). Along with Jєωs, non-Jєωιѕн Poles, Communists and political opponents, members of resistance groups, ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖs, Roma, the physically handicapped and mentally retarded, Soviet prisoners of war (possibly as many as three million), Jehovah's Witnesses, Adventists, trade unionists, and psychiatric patients were killed. One of the biggest centers of mass-killing was the extermination camp complex of Auschwitz-Birkenau. Hitler never visited the cσncєnтrαтισn cαмρs[citation needed] and did not speak publicly about the killing in precise terms.
No, they are not stupid questions. I'm just surprised to hear anyone question this. You're right too - Judaism is not a race, and the Jєωs I know (and I know a lot), agree that it is a religion. Therefore, when a Jєω converts to Catholicism, he is Catholic. However, a lot of Jєωs identify themselves with the culture of Judaism. In the 1980s, the United States Supreme Court ruled that Jєωs
are a race, but this was for purposes of certain anti-discrimination laws. Their reasoning: at the time these laws were passed, people routinely spoke of the "Jєωιѕн race" or the "Italian race" as well as the "Negro race," so that is what the legislators intended to protect.
However, "race" is a genetic distinction, and refers to people with shared ancestry and shared genetic traits. You can't change your race; it's in your DNA. I could never become Black or Asian no matter how much I might want to.
Don't be confused, just be informed!
