  • Keep rockin' it out, brah. :cowboy:
He was the "last great politician" along with being a fantastic writer, speaker, and artist. He was a true man of courage who "fearlessly" fought for the truth at any and all costs and was αssαssιnαtҽd because of it, just like many great men before him. Unfortunately, there are no leaders anywhere today in the world who even come close to possessing the kind of character and spirit he had. I found out about him more than 20 years ago (back when very few people knew who he was...thankfully more people today are finding out about him) and his writings and speeches taught me more about the political reality of the world than any other writer or speaker and, for that, I will always be grateful.

  • I just introduced myself and this is the type of comment I receive? Such a nice forum lol. Anyway Mr. Predestination, do you believe in Double Predestination like Calvin or do you just hold the arrogant position that you are one of the predestined to enter heaven?

So, according to you, those Catholics who go to an Indult parish because there are no Sede chapels around are a million times worse than heretical Jews and sodomites?? :laugh1:

Please tell me a little about yourself. I was open and honest concerning my position and beliefs, what about you??
I was wrong in what I said, I repent for spewing such bile BUT please please please do not insult the dogmas of the Catholic faith. Double predestination is a catholic dogma in the sense that God does presestine those reprobates to the punishment of hell actively, which is not the same thing as Calvinism which teaches that God actively predestines the reprobates to sin, as if he infuses some sort of anti grace. You are right in condemning that as a vile heresy from the pits of hell. However double predestination is a term which was coined by St. Isidore of Seville to refer to ten Catholic position, and is held by all schools of thought including the molinists.

(Sentent. 2. cap. 6): 'Predestination is double (gemina) whether of election to peace, or of reprobation to death. - St. Isidore of Seville.

Immediately after writing the vile slop which I wrote i realised how sinful, distasteful and scandalous what I said in fact was. Mea Culpa. However I still would caution that it would be better to stay at home and perform a spiritual communion then attend an indult “mass”. I do remember that you have read coomramaswamy and still not been convinced so you probably won’t listen, also nice picture of Rockwell

  • Hello, all. I'm currently a member of Suscipe Domine forum, and decided to broaden my horizons a bit and come over here, too. I'm a single woman, living with my Aunt in the Southern United States. I like to sew and read in my free time, and I collect antique dolls and bears. I discerned religious life in my 20s, but unfortunately did not have a vocation.

    Welcome to CI, Birdie.
If only it were all so simple! If only there were evil people somewhere insidiously committing evil deeds, and it were necessary only to separate them from the rest of us and destroy them. But the line dividing good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being. And who is willing to destroy a piece of his own heart?

Hi, Birdie. What kind of birdie are you? A blue jay, cardinal, oriole, robin, crow, or raven? :smirk:

It's a nickname from my Confirmation name, Bernadette. A poster called me that on another forum years ago, and I've always liked it. :) But if I had to choose, I'd pick raven. They're fascinating. Charles Dickens had one as a pet!

Excellent choice! Indeed, they are. A few weeks ago, I drove my mom to her scheduled doctor's visit. In the parking lot right before a rain storm, I saw a raven perched on a light pole looking right at me. We just looked at each other. God used him as message to me, and I felt a strong presence of God at that moment. The peace and assurance given to me was from Heaven. I gave him the Roman salute and then I made the Sign of the Cross.

  • Good Evening,

I'm a 26 Catholic who was baptized Easter of last year after a pretty long conversion. I came here to find a place I could freely and openly discuss my various interests and views, as well as to meet some likeminded people. I'm excited to have a place where I can share music, get reading recommendations, and improve my newfound faith by interacted with others who take it seriously. In general I'm pretty normal: I work blue collar, am freshly married as of April, and live very humbly and modestly since we don't have a lot of money. I enjoy reading literature - classics, Catholic novels, and drama or thrillers - have a deep and lifelong affection for music of various types, and have a great big group of friends that I love to spend time with.

I'm very easy-going with my public demeanor, but I find I'm fiercely opinionated compared to most people I actually know and get along with. It can make actually having in-depth discussions very rare since I very rarely find people with similar viewpoints to my own. It's a sea of modernity out there to say the least. I poked around some of the threads here and figured I should make an account and contribute here and there.

Glad to be here and I'll try to keep up with it. I haven't been active on a forum site since around 2015 or so. Feels like stepping into old shoes or a by-gone era. Though a good community is irreplaceable.

Welcome to the forum!  Did you wife convert with you?  Maybe you could convince her to join as well and she could hang out with us ladies in and chat about homemaking in the women's only subforum.  🥰

She's currently in the process of conversion, thanks be. She's way less 'on the internet' than me but I'll run the idea by her. I'm sure she'd enjoy some online friends to chit chat with
