I can vouch for a very worthwhile cause with folk who speak your own language. They are the the Piccole Sorelle Carmelitane of Maison de la Charite in Madagascar. They care for the poorest of the poor. They themselves are very poor. If you wish to support them I can supply you the details. God bless you. All the sisters are Malagasy, though they train in Italy. All speak French as their second language

Dear Adrian, here is the website of the Italian lay group of the Reggio Emilia Diocese, who support and volunteer at the Houses of Charity in Madagascar and some other places. I hope you can read Italian but if not ask me anything about them.
