  • ORCM was one of the first trad movements back in the 1970s after V2. It was founded by Fr Francis Fenton. ORCM stood for Orthodox RC Movement. They were what today would be called sedeprivationists, but with sede leanings.

PS: the word "orthodox" meant religiously correcf, not EO.

  • Floridian by choice and became a Trad, oh, some 18+ years ago(thank you Fr. Post!). Every day a battle but I’ve been blessed to know some influential Catholic Priests, some of which have been noted on this very forum. If the Church says it, that ends it! I enjoy this forum, may not agree with all I read but…I enjoy the banter and do learn quite a bit from certain members who express several different viewpoints ( I won’t state names but there are several I make a point of looking for). I love following sports but at the same time admit they’ve gone off the deep end! I thank God for St. Joseph, Padre Pio, St. Terese, St. Benedict and, above all, Our Heavenly Mother.
Thank you Matthew for a website I can turn to daily and know there is an army of Catholics out there who, for the most part, get it.

  • Hi everyone

I am grateful to have found this forum. Any suggestions on how best to connect with others?

I live in Maine. Anyone else????

I am a nurse and feel alone in both my stand on the experimental jab, my faith, and much more since all this division began.

I realize that it is spiritual warfare. I pray daily. I pray the rosary.

I have so many questions regarding TLM... I was a child during the onset of Vatican II. It seems I have come full circle and seek deeper friendships with others who seek the same sacred and beautiful true Catholic faith.

I am wondering if anyone goes to the SSPX Chapel in Gilford New Hampshire?  That would be the closest to me. It's 3.5 hours away from Bangor.

    God Bless you!

    Welcome,

Do you have any first has experience as a nurse to confirm that COVID numbers are exaggerated, and that we are constantly being lied to by hospital administrators.

  • Since I am no longer employed in a hospital, my information from colleagues would be considered 2nd hand. I have also witnessed side effects in some that took the jab.

I have extensively researched the various Covid 19 topics and find enough suspicion to be extremely cautious. Stew Peters (Runble) recently interviewed a Respiratory Therapist who spoke for hundreds of nurses at her hospital. Definitely worth watching.

  • Greetings of the luminous peace of Christ to you all.

I hope this message finds well all who read it.

My name is Louie Salvatore Amato.

I am a university graduate student in rural Kansas.

I hope to become a professor of classical studies and teach at the university level. I am also an amateur pharmacist having studied pharmacology and majored in Biology, but ultimately changed course.

I am a Roman Catholic in communion with the Holy Roman See. I attend, and have done so for many years now, an SSPX chapel.

I despise the loathsome and monstrous sight of modernism in all forms: theological, philosophical, and civilizational.

I am a religious Traditionalist although aberrantly so and a fairly conservative social traditionalist.

I am married with children and I enjoy reading, writing, music, linguistics, history, poetry, art, theology, western esotericism, alchemy, wine, cigars, gastronomy, science, and philosophy.

I hope to be an ameliorative comprador in catalyzing rational and moderate responses to the deleterious poisons plaguing societies today and I hope to oppugn the influence of their fanatical partisans by cultivating fertile grounds suitable for reasonable discussion.

He existed before the morning of the world and He shall exist until the last star falls from the night sky and forevermore. Although He took the form of a man, He was not as all men as He was no mere man and therefore Was God.

  • Greetings, my name is Pedro. I converted to Catholicism about 2 years ago and I started to attend the TLM prayed by a kinda reliable diocesan priest in November 2020. :fryingpan:

Since I live in a place very far from any traditional catholic institute (SSPX or Resistance), I'm still going to the latin mass on diocese, sadly. The most near place here is an Resistance monastery, and it's 5 hours from here.

I ask your prayers for - if the Divine Providence wants it - a traditional priest come here for say the Mass. And I ask if you have some good advices too. :incense:

  • Welcome to CI, Pedro.

Thank you, Nadir and thanks for Emile too.

I started converting from agnosticism to Catholicism in late 2018, going to the Confirmation catechesis and attending a charismatic philo-protestant parish. Neither were good - to tell the truth, terrible - but I think God allowed it for my first steps on Catholic Church.

As I gained more knowledge on doctrine and liturgy, Our Lord opened more and more my eyes - "Et cognoscetis Veritatem, et Veritas liberabit vos" (Jo 8,32) - I realized that my old parish didn't look catholic at all, and even though I haver never attended a protestant sect, it kinda looked like one.

So, on 2020, I was sick of the charismatic churches on my neighborhood (if you are interested why, google "Cerco de Jericó" and you'll know what I'm talking about) and accepted a invite from a trad friend of mine, who provided some rides to a beautiful tridentine mass - that I still attend today - on a old baroque-styled parish on other town.

Since I started to attend that TLM, it was more clear that it was really the Catholic Church and the liturgy that sanctified so many saints, not the the Conciliar Church - or "A Outra" (The Other [Church]) as a great Brazilian catholic traditionalist, Gustavo Corção, told in his texts - and his Novus Ordo masses. Since then, I've been studying and getting close to SSPX, Resistance and the traditionalism movement at all.

Unfortunately, I live too far away from those two. However, I trust that God and the Blessed Virgin Mary may provide someday an authentic traditional mass in full sense for the faithful that live here, and maybe even the current priest that say the mass maybe join the Tradition fully.

I'm looking to donate to some charitable organizations that share (or at least are not in contradiction) with Catholic or pro-life values, if you of know such charitable organizations (Asians or Africans would be great) please let me know, thank you and God bless you and yours.

Dear Adrien, I am happy to hear you have turned to God with such humility.

I can vouch for a very worthwhile cause with folk who speak your own language. They are the the Piccole Sorelle Carmelitane of Maison de la Charite in Madagascar. They care for the poorest of the poor. They themselves are very poor. If you wish to support them I can supply you the details. God bless you. All the sisters are Malagasy, though they train in Italy. All speak French as their second language
