Happy Easter everyone! My name's Robert. American, 32.

I'm pretty new to tradition. I was a Novus Ordo seminarian the last ten years and was two years from their diaconate.  I've been studying tradition for a year and a half and have only broken away from the Novus Ordo last August.

My main reason for posting here is to ask for your prayers. I still feel called to the priesthood and hope to be able to enter the SAJM seminary in September. But since I don't know anyone in the resistance I might have to spend a year with them somewhere for them to get to know me. I did get do a retreat with the Dominicans of Avrille (amazing). I've been attending SSPX chapels since there are no resistance chapels near me (Florida). I really don't want to have to spend another year waiting to enter seminary but maybe it's what I need. Not my will but God's be done. Please keep me in your prayers.

Also please pray for an apostolic initiative that keeps coming up in prayer to reach out to Novus Ordo folk I know. I'm not sure if God wants me to reach out now while I'm still connected to a lot of people or to wait until I'm stronger in tradition.

For all of you who pray for the poor sheep in the Novus Ordo, thank you! There were several moments last year when I was wrestling with the arguments of tradition where it came to my mind that someone was praying for me.

    Happy Easter!

P.S. (Cadarin is a masculine form of Catherine that I made up since my name was taken. I love St. Catherine and pray we get another humble daughter of Dominic like her in the future.)
    Can you speak French?

PS: I just sent you a PM.

    Welcome!

It's wonderful that you are hoping to enter the SAJM seminary in September. That's not so long from now really.

What I like most about the Dominicans of Avrille and the four bishops is their high level of integrity and charity in defense of Tradition. That's not an easy thing to maintain. In this the Dominicans of Avrille are true sons of St. Dominic, and the only traditional order of Dominicans that I know of.

Regarding reaching out to Novus Ordo folk, well, are you familiar with Fr. Chazal? He has a little Resistance seminary in Cebu city, Philippines.
The main group that he reaches out to are the Novus Ordo Catholics there. Even if you are not so strong in tradition, you likely have the basics down, and that's what counts. It's okay to not know everything.

It is a good idea to pray for the Novus Ordo sheep. I'll be praying for you, too.

Have you contacted Bp. Zendejas? You can get his contact info by PMing the forum owner here.
"It is licit to resist a Sovereign Pontiff who is trying to destroy the Church. I say it is licit to resist him in not following his orders and in preventing the execution of his will. It is not licit to Judge him, to punish him, or to depose him, for these are acts proper to a superior."

  • Hello I’m an American convert to the faith. Single guy 30 years old. I converted a couple of years ago and attend a diocesan Latin Mass but I’m open to SSPX and resistance views on the crisis.  Still trying to figure out where I stand on all the issues and I’m mostly here to learn.

I’ve been interested in the faith since around high school age when I started reading about the history of the Church and books like St Augustine’s confessions.  I’m also a classical trained musician and play organ for the Mass among other musical activities.

I’ve been a lurker for a long time and this is hands down the best forum I’ve come across.  I mean where else can you debate geocentrism, sedevacantism , and (((our overlords))) without being banned?

  • I'm a 24 year old single guy, hanging out in the Eastern Rite (Eastern Catholic, NOT EO) right now, maybe I'm in a similar boat.

Given your username, though, you might be stricter on EENS than I am  ;D

I think Cathinfo allows good debate among the trad Catholic internet forums. Geocentrism and Feeneyism and sedevacantism and Our Overlords are taboo or heavily censored on many sites so this is the place for such discussions. What does (((. . .))) mean, by the way? Does that just mean "Jєωs"?
    R.I.P.
Please pray for the repose of my soul.

    Will take a look!

And BTW, I will say, though I disagree to an extent, I also think his was an understandable reaction to a very real problem.

  • Hello everyone,

I, along with my family, recently came back “home” to the N.O. Church after never really embracing the faith when a child and drinking deeply of the world. After attending mass there for a few months and diving into online sermons and such, I came across the MHFM material. Although I do appreciate a lot of what they say and what I learned, it has been such a relief to find this forum and read other perspectives on what’s going on and what the truth is.

We have been doing what MHFM recommends and staying home but are really wanting to attend mass. We are on the coast in east central Florida (Sanford is about an hour away). I suppose we could go to Orlando too but that is a bit far. Can anyone recommend a good church? We’re so new to this and still learning, so we don’t know who is valid, who to stay away from, if SSPX is an option or not, etc. Any info will be appreciated.

Also, we took the MHFM advice on how to find a valid confessor (a N.O. Priest ordained before June 18, 1968 ). We found one ordained on June 16, 1968. Was this valid advice/necessary?

Any input, advice, article/book/ video recommendations will be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

Oh, and out of curiosity, if it was possible for us to move, where would be the best place in the states in terms of church and community.

  • Welcome Western! I hope you will find here that which you are searching. Feel free to tell a little more about yourself, I mean your age and sex, and your background. May God reward your efforts to find Truth.
