  • I am a former seminarian of the SSPX who was in Winona during the 90's.  I am very much a supporter of His Excellency Bishop Williamson.  I have witnessed for years members of the SSPX say incredibly disparaging things about the person of Bishop Williamson.

I am inclined to think given my own knowledge of things behind the scenes since 2008, that his former religious superior simply has a personal dislike of him.  Prudence as well as the dictates of the Holy Commandments does not permit the public revelation of those facts, but  this unfortunate reality was being nurtured for almost 20+ years.

I have lost virtually any hope that the current leadership of the SSPX will abandon its current 'deal or bust' with Rome stance anytime soon.  We can all find sophisticated arguments made by several well meaning clerics about 'resistance to what' or 'nothing has changed' positions, but the facts are the facts.  The superiors really think that the SSPX will be lost if they do not get back in with current Rome--which is eternal Rome.  And it is precisely for this reason that they have silenced or will silence anyone who says anything inconvenient to this slow, methodical march.

Because money is needed for legitimacy in the minds of these corporate clerics, they must continue to invent themselves for their audience.  They so love the SSPX, they can not suffer the idea that it might be a band-aid until such time as the wound caused by the modernist inspired apostasy we are all witnessing worsen with every passing day, actually is healed by God.  Band-aids are not meant to remain on wounds forever.  They really see only human solutions to this crisis and for this reason they have their Napoleon...and they label the most educated among their former ranks, the most elder in WISDOM an inconvenient and disobedient wretch.  And he is called unconverted from his Anglican past!  I was never taught more about the voice of Rome than from Bishop Richard Williamson, and I know that Matthew would agree 100%.  Let the clerics with stones worthy of their sacerdotal characters stand up and at least spread the greatest work of the faithful son of the Archbishop--his outlines of the great Papal Encyclicals.  But they won't, because the author is an anti-sem*te ! ! !
I have known a priest of the SSPX who I suspect re-created one schema when delivering to the faithful in an adult catechism so as to avoid the allusion he was reproducing a work of Bishop Williamson. All references to the author were removed by not photocopying the originally handwritten and painstakingly clear work of Bishop Williamson.  How pathetic and effeminate.
I am afraid even lay editors of SSPX publications have long ago labelled the Bishop as bad for business.  Fiftiesism is alive and well in the SSPX and the false prudence argument will slowly choke the softer and softer SSPX priests who more and more shun any sort of confrontation for fear of being fellay-ed.  It is frightening the megalomania which now flows from top to bottom.  Clerics have even suggested that the faithful must obey the Superior General of the SSPX!  They aren't even members!  These poor priests are blind to their own arguments of jurisdiction!

It is unfathomable that true men are wanting in His remnant, but it seems that we will all do well clinging to the Mass from whomever we can receive it.

I have laid silent since the death of Ignis Ardens at the bullying of the SSPX leadership, but I will no longer remain silent and have decided to join this site after having read here for nearly 2 years.

Please support the official website of Bishop Williamson at http://stmarcelinitiative.com/ . Get his talks downloaded and put them in the hands of the next generation of catholic men with the stones to stand up of the truth for surely our days are numbered.

  • I'm an ex-SSPX seminarian and am discerning the possibility of returning to formation, either in Boston, KY or in Angers, France.

I am a convert from the Novus Ordo (and the only one in my family), and was a N.O. seminarian for 2 years before leaving on my own. Having discerned that I still had a vocations, I went to the SSPX because of it's then-solid position regarding the Crisis in the Church. I eventually entered the seminary for them and was there for 4 years, then asked/told to take a year off in a priory, which turned out to be an ejection year. The reasons given to me were very weak, even in the opinions of priests and lay folk to whom I've told the story to. (I'm willing to relay them via PM if you're interested, as I don't consider it a type of material to post ad multitudinem.

I realize now that members of the SSPX (especially it's seminarians and brothers living in the seminary) have been and are still being hoodwinked if not out-right deceived by the authorities thereof.

I would ask the prayers and sacrifices of all who read my post for the intentions of clarity in discernment, especially in October when I will be going on retreat. Thank you and God bless! :gandalf:

Given the new thread in the anonymous forum, I hope you're brushing up your French! Do you know that some Dominicans will be in the US at the end of October?

  • I am also new, baptized as a baby, convent-educated with a Master's degree.

I live in the land of granola -- flakes, nuts, and fruits --otherwise known as California.

As there is no church reasonably close to me, I pray at home with my husband.

I firmly believe that we are in the Last Days, and I pray that Christ will come soon to save us.
    Lord have mercy.

  • My Dear Fellow Members,

Hello! I'm new to the forum and feel so privileged to be among traditional Catholics in Christ.

First, a little bit about myself. I am a 25 year old, single woman living in Southern California. I converted to Catholicism when I was 12 after a surprising and very beautiful revelation of God through the Blessed Virgin Mary. Unfortunately due to conflicting family beliefs and life interventions, I have not yet been baptized. However, I am looking forward to my baptism this fall^ ^

I have joined this forum because, as a student of history and religion, I realize that there are some flaws with Vatican II, which I hope will be addressed for the sake of the faithful, but most importantly for God. As I'm still a student, I look forward with all my heart to learning and growing with others on this forum. Many hugs to everyone here and may God bless you<3

    Yours sincerely and respectfully,
    MyrrhTree

  • Welcome, MyrrhTree! Praise God that you are converting to the One True Religion!

You are indeed correct that there are flaws with the Second Vatican Council. More than just flaws, they are heresies and errors.

  • Hi,

I'm writing from Europe and I'm new to the forum.
My reason for registering is to ask for some direction. or rather, some help with the following problem. It might be out of scope for the forum but since I'm also a Traditional-minded Catholic, I thought I might ask this on a forum.

I have been targeted with 'gang stalking' since years. (I know it sounds 'tinfoilhatty' but it exists although there is still quite much disinfo on the web so it's hard to get an accurate picture about it. I think it's a combination of criminal, demonic and technological harassment and it's done by cults.)

I'm looking for an international organization that could provide some supervision in this situation. I have searched the web for a Catholic anti-cult network but I only found Protestant organizations - which deal with spiritual matters quite differently than Catholic organizations supposedly do.

I wonder, is the Malteser International worth asking (Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke being their current patron) or are they too over-infiltrated by liberals?

Any help would be greatly and kindly appreciated!

  • Welcome, gseu345!

I'm not sure how much help I would be, but I'll give it a try. First of al, Cardinal Burke is the most conservative bishop in the Novus Ordo as far as I know, but in spite of that, he still would accept Vatican II.

As far as the stalking goes, I would try to block as many emails or accounts as possible and maybe even get new emails and accounts. Also, pray to St. Michael and your guardian angel. Ultimately, this threat that has come to you is spiritual, and so they would be able to battle any demonic forces that would come your way.

I hope that helps in some way.

  • Dear Kephapaulos,

Thank you for the kind welcome! Well, I didn't find any Traditional Catholic organization with a scope that this could fit into, so finding a 'conservative' NO organization seemed to be the next best idea.

Also thank you for the tips. Thanks be to God in my case the communications (internet and phone) harassment isn't overwhelming so it's manageable. I'll try to pay more attention to the Holy Archangels and my guardian angel. It is however the criminal (street level, neigbor and family) aspect that I'm looking help for and try to counter. Authorities are still skeptical about the very existence of this stalking so they are currently of little to no help.

Anyway, I thought I shouldn't open a separate thread for this so I just asked it in the Introductions.

    Thank you again!
