  • Hello Matto,

I was told of Cathinfo by an older Catholic friend. Not sure how she came across it but I do agree with her that all other forums fall short.

I have always been Catholic. I do remember 1979 as my "waking" point to the changes in the Church. From there I have read as much as I can about the teachings of the Church.

As to my feelings of the imposter in Rome, he is not Catholic. Simple really. I look at those who think Joseph Ratzinger is the true pope with dismay. Long before Bergoglio, Ratzinger was active in undermining the teachings of the Church.

I say that I endeavor to know the True Faith to the best of my ability because there is still much for me to learn. I pray for discernment and perseverance each day.  I realize my shortcomings in logic, some women have it, I do not. I have to guard against my emotions getting in my way.

  • I started attending The Tridentine mass around 2004, and find myself more frequently plotting how to get Vatican II out of local parishes, and dioceses.  I think that this will happen in my lifetime.  I am Catholic.  I accept valid elections in the Vatican.

  • I've been reading Cathinfo for a long time. I guess that made me a "Lurker". I've had enough of watching from the sidelines and now I want to contribute!

I've met some of you in person at the consecration of Bishop Zendejas.

    How are you Matthew?

How are you Student of Qi?

I grew up entirely traditional; home-schooled, Latin Mass, Altar boy, catechist.

I'm interested in everything and I can't wait to get started!

  • I am 16 and have been researching Vatican II and V2 popes and the horrible new mass. I grew up catholic and went to catholic school my whole life and my interest in the changes in the church started based off hatred of communion in the hand. After researching for 2 years I decided to go to the sspv chapel near me for midnight mass on Christmas and was amazed at the beauty of the true mass. Ever since then I have resolved to never fall into the V2 trap and terrible new mass. I am not a sedevacantist, however I don’t trust the new mass and new rites of ordination/consecration, so instead of saying definitively that the new mass, new rites are invalid, I hold them as doubtful and won’t ever be involved with them at all. I also don’t know for sure if the pope is or isn’t pope so my stance is “I am open to submit to the true pontiff whoever he may be if there currently is one because of this irregular, confusing, and terrible situation”.

  • Welcome Catholic. Always good to have young blood!  ;) Keep up the research. You're in the right place.

  • David, 24 years old, live in New York State.

Have been lurking for a bit, but finally have recently decided to convert to Catholicism after about a year of seeking.  Am about to start the catechumen process in my local Ukrainian Rite parish.

I'm at the least trad leaning, and skeptical of Vatican II, but haven't worked everything out yet.

  • Hello my name is Colin! I finally registered for an account after browsing here for a couple months. Oddly enough, I just realized my account was active but had never signed in (I never got an email from CathInfo that my account had been accepted, odd)
Anyway, I'm 22 years old. I live in Fort Collins, Colorado. I'm currently attending Colorado State University.
I grew up Novus Ordite. I don't think I ever had the Catholic Faith.
To make a long story short, I got involved in the Hare Krishna Hindu cult. 12 days later I prayed to Christ asking for a sign and he showed me He is God. I was in a demonic trance. (If anyone wants to read my full testimony, let me know. I also did an interview with a friend if you don't want to read)

Began attending the Latin Mass in November of 2017.
Attended my first SSPX Mass Christmas 2018 (St. Isidore's in Watkins, CO)
After spending time on CathInfo, I see the direction the Society is headed and it is discouraging.
Thanks for approving my account, Matthew
    God Bless

    Welcome Colin!

I was a member of the Denver parish for 20 years and helped build the beautiful church of St Isidores. I'm still a resident here in Colorado, but I haven't been a member of St Isidore's parish for nearly 9 years... if you are interested in learning more about the current slide of the SSPX,  I may be able to introduce you to someone who is still currently attending St. Isidores. Please PM me if you're interested.

P.S. Please be patient for any response, I tend to be more of a lurker nowadays and don't login much...

  • Hi everyone, this is my first post. I attend an SSPX chapel because it's the only trad chapel in my area within reasonable driving distance, but I'm not SSPX per se.

  • I don't give them tithes because I reject their position with Rome and how they treated Bishop Williamson.

  • Resurrexit sicut dixit Alleluia!

Happy Easter everyone! My name's Robert. American, 32.

I'm pretty new to tradition. I was a Novus Ordo seminarian the last ten years and was two years from their diaconate.  I've been studying tradition for a year and a half and have only broken away from the Novus Ordo last August.

My main reason for posting here is to ask for your prayers. I still feel called to the priesthood and hope to be able to enter the SAJM seminary in September. But since I don't know anyone in the resistance I might have to spend a year with them somewhere for them to get to know me. I did get do a retreat with the Dominicans of Avrille (amazing). I've been attending SSPX chapels since there are no resistance chapels near me (Florida). I really don't want to have to spend another year waiting to enter seminary but maybe it's what I need. Not my will but God's be done. Please keep me in your prayers.

Also please pray for an apostolic initiative that keeps coming up in prayer to reach out to Novus Ordo folk I know. I'm not sure if God wants me to reach out now while I'm still connected to a lot of people or to wait until I'm stronger in tradition.

For all of you who pray for the poor sheep in the Novus Ordo, thank you! There were several moments last year when I was wrestling with the arguments of tradition where it came to my mind that someone was praying for me.

    Happy Easter!

P.S. (Cadarin is a masculine form of Catherine that I made up since my name was taken. I love St. Catherine and pray we get another humble daughter of Dominic like her in the future.)
