  • Hi, I'm a newbie.  I'm active on a couple of other traditional catholic forums and a refugee from a third. Nice to be here (although I've lurked unregistered for awhile now.)

  • Hello I am new here.  I was brough up in Vatican II catholicism, but have been having problems with the whole N.O. mess for a while now.  I am hoping that one day I will be blessed by God to follow the true and only Catholic faith.

  • Not totally new to this forum but lost all my information & had to re-register.
I have been living off & on between the USA and Brazil. Am back in the US
& have decided to stay. I am wondering if there is any one living in or near Union City, NJ that could drive me to a TLM? At this point, I will accept
    anywhere! My email is: ursulacrc@yahoo.com.br
I was a religious for 27 years but left because of the "mess". Later I worked as a lay-missionary in Brazil....But all of Latin America is submerged in Marxist Liberation Theology. Thank you & God bless you!

  • Is this really true.
"I receive Thee, redeeming Prince of my soul. Out of love for Thee have I studied, watched through many nights, and exerted myself: Thee did I preach and teach. I have never said aught against Thee. Nor do I persist stubbornly in my views. If I have ever expressed myself erroneously on this Sacrament, I submit to the judgement of the Holy Roman Church, in obedience of which I now part from this world." Saint Thomas Aquinas the greatest Doctor of the Church

  • I live in Reno, NV. I attend Holy Spirit Mission. We are a traditionalist community with TLM. Been with this parish for a little over 2 years. About 70 families. Our priest is with the diocese and this parish is on diocese owned property. I attend daily mass NO six mornings a week. I can handle the daily mass communities because we all basically share the same values. Sunday mass NO is a whole new ball game though.

White, 46, male, single, prolife, conservative, traditional.

    To be continued, questions ?

  • Welcome to the forums to you both!

Holyhearts you might want to ask Matthew to remove that email address after a little while, as spambots might gather it up otherwise.

May God keep you and help you!
    Sincerely,

    Shin

  • Good Morning!

I just found this forum and decided to register to learn and be able to discuss traditional Catholicism.

    About myself:

Born and raised in Texas, in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  I was homeschooled from 1st-12th grade.  After high school I went to a military academy and graduated in 2012 with a BS in Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering and a commission as a junior officer.  I'm currently stationed in Washington, DC in a desk job, which is far from my first choice but then again I didn't have much of a choice.

I married my best friend from high school in October and have enjoyed every bit of our marriage so far. :)

I'm an avid skier, sailor and backpacker.  I also love rock climbing and mountaineering.

My family was a migratory Catholic family, although I lived in the same town until I went to college, we attended 5 different parishes in 18 years.  At first we went to the local charismatic Christian community on Sundays after attending mass at our official Catholic parish, which was just a typical suburban parish.  Then we stopped going to the charismatic services and went solely to our home parish.  After a while we then moved to a more traditional parish and attended the Novus Ordo in Latin.  Our pastor was moved out to a different parish, about an hour outside of Dallas, and we followed him there.  After my freshman year at college they joined the TLM parish that had just started (it was a TLM community and then bought a church and became a parish).

Anyways, that's kind of my background...  Hoping to learn and be able to appreciate the Extraordinary Form in a more meaningful way as well as have intelligent discussions about living a Catholic life in the modern world.

    Cheers,
    Joe

  • Hi it's holysoulsacademy! (the name of our Homeschool), mother of 10, and have been attending the TLM for the past 12 years.
We named our homeschool as such because we have dedicated all our prayers and works for the Holy Souls in Purgatory.
Homeschooling was critical in bringing us to our own path to Tradition.
Currently attending an SSPX Chapel after many regrettable experiences within the Indult and other Diocesan TLM communities.
Glad to find this forum, pretty interesting.
    Looking forward to many "conversations".
