Hello, I go to a Novus Ordo church and feel like an alien in my own parish. Having been born shortly before the introduction of the Novus Ordo, I remember a time when the Mass felt deeply sacred, and I saw how, little by little, they stripped away much of the solemnity. No one kneels when the Eucharist is exposed. The loss of the communion rail is what hurts most; it used to be a space for true prayerful meditation and preparation. Now it feels like a factory production line; between the hurried pace and the change in musical style, the experience feels much less like the Mass.

May I ask why you continue to attend...is it just habit/convenience?
