I thought this would be a good topic and something we should all be on guard against.

Many years ago, an independent traditional priest on the east coast had a problem with one. He wound up having to toss the man out. Apparently, he came in and immediately ingratiated himself - you know the type, always so helpful, gracious, always volunteering...and then they stand back after they stir up a hornets nest and watch the results. The priest told me this man had a way of making himself seem like the last person on earth who would be there to purposely stir up trouble. They know everyone's business because not many catch on to them. And they actually get people to defend them when someone tries to warn others about them because they are normally the last person you would suspect.

Very clever and a real art.

And entirely too many of them around. I have been driven to the wall by people like that. What's so awful is that people believe them, not you, so they are free to do their dirty work and nothing you can do about it.

You are absolutely right. You are always the one that they manage to make look bad, and they know who it is that can see through them. With you, they'll be their evil selves because they know that no one will believe you when you try to warn them. That's where their charm comes in. They're good at what they do. And they also are good at turning everyone else against you.

This can be a big problem and there is little anyone can do about it, since the Church is for ALL men, when someone enters we must allow entrance.
Not sure where I heard this, but remember reading the Our Lady asked the Church to be careful who they allowed into the seminaries.
Remember they did it once, now they are running the Vatican, making Catholics look really bad in the eyes of the world, by their bad example.
What would stop them from doing it again to the remnant Catholics in the world.

Nothing would or has stopped them from invading traditional seminaries and parishes.

It just amazes me how many people fall for it, and the only one who comes out looking bad in the end is the one who tries to warn the others. A real masterstroke of satan.

we have had afew too, cult members and even some that-knowing we are a Diocesan church, have come in and then attacked Father for not being a SV.

my question to them-why did you come at all? why did they play liek they loved it and wanted to be a part, then attack?

if one is a SV, fine! just be up front about it and please do so w/charity...

I just got booted from a SSPX chapel. They thought I was a trouble maker. The seven years Id been there.....the "watcher" built a case against me. Everyone believed him, including the priest.
Do you have an suspects in your parish? I know of one I suspect in Spokane. :detective:

My parish is too small for an infiltrator to succeed. He and/or she would be found out in no time I think.

That's usually the way with infiltrators and how they operate. That's why I think it's diabolical - here they made you look like the trouble-maker and, on top of that, manage to get everyone to believe it. Well, Emerentiana, I'm sure you're not losing any sleep over it! :wink:

You're right about that, especially on the internet. They're a well organized bunch, that's for sure. And somehow they know who is on to them.

Elizabeth, do you know how? Are they specially trained for this? Or is it some kind of infused knowledge from the prince of this world?

My thought about your place is that you have to be careful with novus ordo infiltrators. It's a shame we can't trust many people today. We've got people spying for the church; people spying for the government; people sent in to try to destroy a parish by causing distrust and constant bickerings among the faithful.

And now, with the advent of wretched cell phones, it's even worse. People record your conversations with them and take pictures without your knowing; I even a few years ago listenened to a sermon by an FSSP priest telling people not to bring their cell phones into the confessional. Apparently someone somewhere did that and recorded the confession.

What a world we live in!

:roll-laugh1: I've got to tell you this. I used to go on Protestant forums and got to know just such a group. Some months later I found them causing trouble on another forum and wrote to the site owner and warned him. I used a different name and they couldn't identify me, but boy how they tried. And they told on themselves, too, in the uproar of pointing fingers.

It did no good, of course, but we sure had a good laugh. :roll-laugh2:

The mixture of socialised psychopathy and tecnology is downright creepy and scary, in the context of Catholic chapels.

The non- mainstream chapels also attract weirdos because they like going off the beaten track in the first place. Then there is the attraction to a cause that is big and powerful.

But every group has its share of dysfunctional people anyway.
