Im back...

After a few weeks of prayer and contemplation, I have returned to the forum.

After what happened in our chapel a few weeks ago, my husband and I have decided that it would not be prudent to expose our children to a priest who is both violent and paranoid.  It is not good for their spiritual welfare nor for their faith in us as parents.

We have found another place to receive the Sacraments.  We are at peace with this decision.

Initially, after the episode I spoke about at our chapel, my husband sat down to write a letter to the priest involved.  He wrote it several times in an effort to clarify his thoughts.  Ultimately, though, he decided it would serve no purpose in sending it except to keep events stirred up.  He then advised that I should not be worried about coming to this forum to post.

There are others who have left the chapel only because they have been forced out.  The facts of the situation have been made known to everyone, but, as far as I know, others have not left, which is incredibly bizarre to me.

When we came from Novus Ordo, we were aware of the accusations that there is a tendency in the Society for people to develop a cult like response to everything.  I am witnessing this with my own eyes.

We began attending an SSPX chapel because we were not certain that the Novus Ordo Sacraments were valid.  In the process of going to Mass at the SSPX chapel, our spiritual lives made a great turnaround and our lives improved tenfold.  It was truly a blessing.

But when we began to be told that we could not search for Truth on the internet regarding the situation with the Society, we became alarmed.  I knew we were being lied to.  How?  Because the good people here were reporting events as they happened in their own chapels and sharing their own experiences with SSPX chapels across the world.

So there is not a person here on this forum that can tell me all is well within the Society and that priests are being obstinant or disobedient.  It is a lie.

Just Saturday a person from my chapel sat in my living room to tell me he did not have a problem with a priest becoming violent with a parishioner.  He also said that the priest has every authority to tell parishioners what websites to visit, no matter if it is for moral or information purposes.

In my opinion, the Society has become like the Novus Ordo church we left two years ago.  "Be Obedient!  Do as your told!  Don't trust that website, they are sede-vacantist."  These are THE EXACT WORDS TOLD TO ME BY A NOVUS ORDO PRIEST AND BISHOP!

Our family's time in the Society has come to a close.  I am incredibly grateful to Our Lord for leading us out of Novus Ordo to tradition.  I am just as grateful that Our Lord prepared another way for us before this happened.

I am glad to be back here.

CathMom,

It's wonderful to have you back and even more wonderful that you're no longer in danger of sacramental terrorism at the hands of the Fellayite cultists (which I distinguish from the good and holy priests that remain faithful to the spirit of the late Archbishop).

In this time of apostasy, so many are trouble by the fact that our priests and bishops, of whatever of belief concerning the occupation of the Holy Seat, lack canonical authority, and they rightly should be, for it is not the normative state of the Church.  But even in His chastisement, God is beneficent and merciful, and it is through this lack of canonical authority that we are relieved of obedience to those possessors of Holy Orders that, without the person of the Roman Pontiff in body or mind to correct them, abuse the God-given privilege of their ministry for personal gain, in worldly wealth or worldly acceptance.

I pray God watch over you and your family, that you never know such danger again, and for the good priests and laity that remain faithful still attached to the SSPX.
