That bible is composed of 20% scripture, and 80% footnotes from the Fathers, Doctors, Saints, Popes, and othe Catholic authorites. The bible is a reprint of the original Haydock of the mid 1800's, so, you won't find any modernist garbage in it.

The Liturgical Year, gives you the mass readings for every day (from the 1850's missal, no modern junk!), and then details the Catholic history of that feast day , or saint, or church historical event.

If a person only had these two books, they would need nothing else
to occupy their soul, other than the mass itself, and prayer.
