Not sure what lesson you are talking about.
Elias is the same guy as Elijah.

If you didn't spend all your time trying to be breezily glib, you'd be aware that I was aware of that from the beginning. You are the one who brought St. Enoch into the conversation by seeming to think that was the name of the Monastery that was destroyed. Re-read it.

The point is that all of us are going to die. It's very silly to worry about a greater event that may not happen for many years or centuries even yet - when in fact, you might die today.

The first sentence is obviously true. Tedium, let everybody worry about what is very silly, and what isn't, for themselves.  You pronouncing it "silly" is a form of ad hominem attack.

If I were a non-Catholic, why would I be on a Catholic board and speaking enthusiastically about the faith...

Yes, why indeed?  You do have quite a few friends here that would be in the same boat.

Receive our Lord in communion every Sunday. Speak with him. Don't just recite words or immediately resume following Mass with very little thought of how blessed you are. Go to confession frequently. Make a good act of contrition frequently throughout every day. Make the hail mary be ever on your lips.

(Just some words of advice: Most Catholics capitalize pronouns referring back to the Lord and the Blessed Mother. Typos are accepted and readily forgiven).

I really don't need your advice as to how and when to address the Lord. I'm pretty sure that I've been at it a lot longer than you have. I assure you I have never done it with "very little thought".

You are certainly blessed in having Mass, Holy Communion, and Confession readily available. Most of us can't find these so easily in the present circuмstances, and the situation increases our personal anxiety. I admire your zipadeedoodah attitude in the present times.

I'm not sure what you are saying.

Yes, I was just getting ready to point that out again.

What happened, did I scare you?

I disregarded this whole thing when I saw you linked foxnews. They're neocons and super philosemites (which can do no wrong ever of course).

Yes, and down-thumbed me too, because of it, didn't you? I didn't use that source to bolster any particular philosophy or politics. I just used it because it was handy-a quick summary of what apparently really did happen. If you wish to argue that it didn't happen at all because it was an article on Fox News, then go ahead. I'm all ears.

So that's what made you not look at it? interesting.  Would you have given a full listen if I had referenced Breitbart, NewsMax, Rense, or Hoffman? As I said, I was only using it as a convenient reference point. If that's enough to make you not read anything more, then I suggest you chill. I agree with some of your thought about the Murdoch channel, I'm not a fan either,  but please don't let it get in the way of allowing it to be used for a minor purpose on another subject completely.

I don't see how you can think that the destruction of that monastery represents the apparent death of the TWO witnesses.

    It's crazy.

Yes, it's all "crazy". I don't think it would literally mean that. That's why I did not say that. If you wish to continue to think that I did, that would be up to you.

You didn't actually say anything in the OP.

What is it that you think it means?
