  • Can a priest who has been suspended say Mass or hear confession? The reason that I ask is that I believe this is the status of my independent priest. These people are very closed mouthed and suspicious of any questions. My family has been going to this Church for a little over one year. This summer trouble started. He wants and asked for the local N.O. Bishop's recognition, but no good. If I understand correctly there was a bishop in a European country who was supporting him, but for some reason he has withdrawn his support. Father made an announcement that he is under suspension, but that we should not worry he would still be there to say the Mass. Now, it has come to my attention that he should not be doing so. As I say, the "board" of this independent Church is very protective and will not talk to those of us not on the "board of directors

I asked this on FE. Now, especially Matthew and Gladius help me discern. And, my buddy Trinity better help me. Honestly I get tired of being befuddled by this. There were charges of one case of certain behaviour, but to my knowledge, this has come to nothing. And there is only one claimant. It always seemed to me that it was the work of angry ex-parishioners.
