  • I'm tying to teach my eldest child about Christianity, Catholicism, and all of the insane branches of schisms and heretical Protestant breaks.

I know there's a graphic out there somewhere showing a graphic timeline/tree of this mess.  Do any of you have any links to this thing or something like it?

Before some audiences not even the possession of the exactest knowledge will make it easy for what we say to produce conviction. For argument based on knowledge implies instruction, and there are people whom one cannot instruct.  - Aristotle

The charts found here are exceptional, although some have gone out of stock and may be --  I hope not -- exceptionally hard to find: https://angeluspress.org/collections/church-teaching/Apologetics

Catholic Treasures used to sell a fold-out chart that showed all the heresies as red zones on the graph, the taller areas were the heresies that involved more people, so it gave a powerful visual image of the relative prominence of each heresy.
    .
They only have an online presence now, and I've heard that they're still filling orders, but I don't see how to order on their site.

That's a link to a book containing a "chronological table" but I don't know if it's the same chart I remember.

I just ran across this today.  May not be exactly what you are looking for, but it looks like some great material nonetheless.  https://www.maccabeanuprising.com/

  • Are you are on a time restriction?  If not, it would be fascinating to formulate one of your own.  In the meantime, I have a friend who has a timeline, not sure how detailed, of the Catholic Church.  She's not on-line, but I'll try and see if she can make a paper copy to send me and I can try and get it to you.  Respond by PM.
