  • a sublime meditation today Cassini, on the feast of the Annunciation during this solemn season.   I've added the link to my "Devotions" file, for rosary mediation.

You will appreciate this one also, which I discovered last week.
The most powerful I've seen/heard, incorporating the Ave and many scenes from The Passion:

    Thank you.

  • Yes, thank you very much.
"In His wisdom," says St. Gregory, "almighty God preferred rather to bring good out of evil than never allow evil to occur."

    Yes, thank you very much.

You are all very welcome. I am a grown man and I cry my heart out every time I play http://www.youtuberepeater.com/watch?v=ELhLTIpBF6A version of it.

This leads me to ask myself why this combination causes this reaction. Certainly the music and operatic voice is so beautiful, two gifts from God to mankind. The story of Mary as the mother of Christ, from a child to a glimpse of his 'private' life as a carpenter and then His passion and death. The love that pours out of one's heart for Mary and Jesus as we hear the singing is real, sorror from our humanity, and joy from our faith.
But there is I hope a third reason, our Catholic faith. I cannot think of a greater expression of it. I pray that here we experience a rare emotion of faith, something very rare indeed.
Am I deluding myself or does anybody else feel the same way.
