While this is spectacular, it's sad that we've fallen so far that it takes someone winning a million dollars from a prayer request to believe in our God.
Maybe this just goes to show that the salvation of souls is worth more than any amount of money can offer.

Not that I disagree with you (because I don't), but I do think that this instance is one that has many facets to look at as you have done. I did notice this, that it had to take some lump of money to get him to believe.
The ultimate test I think here, and irony, would be if the dollar was devalued to nothing like the German mark did in WWII. Do you think he would remain converted, so to speak?
To your comment on the "get to tradition", I have faith he could. I know I did because my entry point and friendbase was ALL Novus Ordo at first (yet some were Traditional-leaning after further growing in friendship).
