They claim on their forum home page that "Membership is open to all, Catholic and non-Catholic alike, who seek the Truth with Charity," however, I was warned by individual forum members that I would be banned for my views on EENS, which are not "hard-core Feeneyite" and which are, I believe, wholly orthodox. In any case, they banned me over a thread which I wrote in response to a post from Father Zuhlsdorf:

After reading Father Z's blog, I posted on the CAF's vocation section that such semainarians should use the Tor Browser to protect their privacy:
https://www.torproject.org/projects/torbrowser.html.en
Within a few hours, my post was deleted. I complained to the moderators who told me that my post was "not appropriate." (Uh, the software is both free and legal.) I claimed that they were engaging in censorship and told them that their actions were "not American" and "not Catholic." After that, they banned me. I tried calling Karl Keating's office about it, but they did not return my phone call.
Well, there you go. All this time you've wasted not being "hard core Feeneyite"
(whatever that is supposed to be) and you could have been all along, and then
the banning would make sense! But now, you can be banned and feel depressed
because you tried to be "not a hard core Feeneyite" so as to keep you from
getting banned and it was a waste of time, since you got banned anyway.
So forget it.
Don't waste your time. Become a "hard core Feeneyite" (whatever that is) and
enjoy life for a change!!
No, I'm glad to be gone, believe me! (In fact, I was planning a year-long break anyway, because I had said all that I felt that I needed to say.) I do have my own blog (no big deal, of course, anyone can do that!) and I want to write a bit about this whole (albeit, minor) incident in my life, because I feel that CA is being a bit deceptive in what they are doing and I think that people, donors especially (whether past, current or future), should know what type of organization that they are giving their monies to.
Now, I do not, of course, believe that people should go on forums (such as this one) and be rude, overbearing, mean-spirited, profane, etc., but if a board advertises that "Membership is open to all, Catholic and non-Catholic alike, who seek the Truth with
Charity," then how can one be
charitable in denying individuals the chance to express their own points of view?! If you don't want atheists on your board, then, great, say so! But, say so up front and be
honest about it! Instead, the CAF board is over-moderated and aggressively so to the point where people are getting censored for their ideas and not how they present those ideas. And, that's "fine and dandy," but if you are going to do that (and, Matthew, of course, does not),
say so up front! And, if you do not, be prepared to accept some
private criticism from your board members who are pointing out to you the fact that you are not following your
own rules.
