  • Someone on here wrote about Catholic Answers being quick to ban true Catholics. I finally decided to find out how well they know the Catholic faith, only to get banned in less than 15 minutes.

My screen name was FATHER WATHEN.

Here is the question and poll I posted.

    Quote
Is Denial of God's Revealed Truth, Denial of Jesus?

If a person who says, “I believe in Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior”, yet, knowingly denies God's revealed truth, is this denial of God's revealed truth, denial of Jesus?

The purpose of this poll is not a theological debate on who's right and who's wrong. I am interested in finding out, do  many people believe people are denying Jesus when they knowingly deny any part of God's revealed truth?

    Yes!
    No!
    Unsure!

[31] Fear not therefore: better are you than many sparrows. [32] Every one therefore that shall confess me before men, I will also confess him before my Father who is in heaven. [33] But he that shall deny me before men, I will also deny him before my Father who is in heaven. [Matthew 10:33]  [34] Do not think that I came to send peace upon earth: I came not to send peace, but the sword. [35] For I came to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

came to set a man at variance: Not that this was the end or design of the coming of our Saviour; but that his coming and his doctrine would have this effect, by reason of the obstinate resistance that many would make, and of their persecuting all such as should adhere to him.

No wonder they banned you from a Novus Ordo website if your screen name was that of one of the more famously anti-Novus Ordo priests.
    R.I.P.
Please pray for the repose of my soul.

They should at least have shown me where they think I have gone astray.  :dancing:

  • The answer is a simple "yes."  A person may be UNAWARE that his "personal Lord and Savior"
talk makes him a heretic, nonetheless, denial of Christ is the ultimate conclusion, the OBJECTIVE REALITY, the TRUTH of any dogma except for that taught by the Catholic Church founded by Jesus Christ.  Whether a person is formally or materially a heretic, and how he will fare at his particular judgment are separate issues from the question you posed.  Are you surprised you were dismissed by disciples of the greatest super-heresy, Vatican II?
St. Francis Xavier threw a Crucifix into the sea, at once calming the waves.  Upon reaching the shore, the Crucifix was returned to him by a crab with a curious cross pattern on its shell.

I was not surprised I was dismissed by disciples of the greatest super-heresy, Vatican II. I was surprised I was banned in less than 15 minutes. I have posted on Protestant, Progressive, Atheist, Feminist and a Republican Forum and Catholic answers in the only forum I have been banned on in less than 15 minutes.

  • Actually, if you really want to try again, pick some name of someone canonized since 1969 and see how long it takes you to get banned again.

  • Certainly the screen name you chose was a setup for banishment!  Another factor that played into your swift dismissal is that liberals lack ability to reason.  They are incapable of making distinctions such as I proposed in my first post.

UNLESS you choose Edmund Campion or Margaret Clitherow, or one of the other 40 Martyrs of England and Wales who Paul VI amazingly enough canonized in 1970!

  • So you claimed to be someone you weren't. You went in with an antagonistic and disingenuous ethos, and you are surprised your were banned. Maybe if you used your real name, things could have turned out differently. I don't think Our Lord and Our Blessed Mother were well pleased with your actions.

Good question, good point. No. It is a silly name I thought if when I signed up to defend FE. Yes, I admit it. Terrible mistake. BEEEE OOOOOO BEEEEE OOOOOO--ERROR! ERROR! ERROR! Think of me what Thou wilt.  I have apologized for my original intentions here.

But now I have do not have antagonistic intentions nor do I post to get banned. So,

  • Your original post title is humorous.

I got banned there as well and my screen name is Santo Subito!

I'm not even sure why I was banned.

I posted something. I came back and didn't see it. I thought it didn't go through.

I posted it again. I got permanently banned for "circuмvention"!
