I still cannot logout. I wonder how long it will last. People will come to think I spend all of my time visiting Cathinfo because they will look at the active users and always see my name there.
That's not true.
You are only "logged in" for about 15 minutes since your last activity. The system automatically logs you out of the active users after 15 minutes.
Your local PC will keep a logged-in cookie for about a month (I think) before auto-expiring. That's why you have to log in every so often.
Now if you want to forcibly log yourself out (after posting in the Anonymous forum, for example) that's about the only reason you need to log off on purpose.
But I don't know why it wouldn't work for some, but work fine for others. As far as I know, logging out is a server-side issue, so it should work the same for all. Especially since it gives you an error message. Error messages are generated by the SERVER, so it's server-side. One behavior for all.
That's why I concluded "I don't know what to tell ya" since several people tested it successfully, including myself. I can't get the error to reproduce here.
