  • I was wondering how they were coming along with their move to "good" oils (instead of the trans-fat heavy ones they were using).

Well, here's my answer! They're done I guess. No more trans fat at KFC!

  • I don't know if "low linolenic soybean oil" sounds any tastier than partially hydrogenated oil (of whatever variety) but go for it, I guess.

  • I love KFC but haven't eaten there in years because......

they are one of the companies that support abortion.

KFC is owned by Pepsi Co. and Pepsi Co. donates money to Planned Parenthood. Taco Bell is also part of Pepsi Co.

EDIT: I forgot to add that Pizza Hut is also owned by Pepsi Co.

  • I don't support abortion either, and I admire you trying to support good companies (and avoid bad ones), but (maybe I'm just wimping out here) it seems like it's impossible to avoid supporting "bad guys" when it comes to companies.

There are only a few mega-corporations which produce our food now -- seriously, they are global companies. Kraft foods is a part of Kraft Global Holdings (or some such). What happened to it being a cheese company started by a guy named Kraft who was good at making cheese?

Modern mega-corporations are SO far removed from "Bob who makes good refried beans" that it's not even funny. They are huge, global, mega corporations now, all of whom are up to no good.

You have to grow your own food if you want to avoid supporting bad guys altogether.

I know several people who try to avoid supporting China -- but recently one of them told me he has modified his policy: "I look for a non-Chinese alternative -- if there isn't one, I reluctantly buy the Chinese item."

We'll be seeing more and more of that...

  • Oh is this related to Marty's "Be a man, don't eat soy" tagline?

I haven't heard anything about soybeans having estrogen...enlighten me.

  • WebMD This article talks a bit about how soy can help post menopausal women instead of estrogen in hormone therapy.

Estrogen in soy (and plastic, and milk) may explain why boys are maturing later than they used to and why girls are maturing earlier than they used to.

There is also a suspected link to ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖity from the high levels of estrogen introduced by soy in processed foods.

  • Matthew, obviously you haven't discovered Dr. Mercola, one of the best-known challengers to conventional medicine, Big Food, and the FDA.

Here's some info on why eliminating trans-fat in fast food is only a small first step.  No one should ever eat any fast food except when in danger of starvation.  It has no value whatsoever and almost everything in it is very harmful, trans fat or not.  Just a human concoction designed to addict people to something profitable to corporations, it's about as NWO as "food" can get.

McDonald's fries are an example, but all fast food is cooked in basically this way.

  • Here's what you need to know about soy, from the best traditional food site I've found:

    http://www.westonaprice.org/soy/index.html

They are not explicitly religious, but they recommend living and eating in essentially a Catholic way, and avoiding most illnesses through eliminating the processed foods that cause them from our diet.  Of course that makes them another enemy of the AMA, FDA, and Big Food.

  • If they start frying foods in stable, natural unsatturated fats.  I might eat them more often.  Did you know that in many ways, frying your chicken in lard is healthier than any "lab made" fat they use today.

Bottom line, if your oldest ancestors didn't eat it, then you shouldn't either.

  • Exactly!

That is my conclusion to this whole issue. I already knew that we need to be living as much like people from 1910 as possible.

    This just confirms my resolve.

Butter is good, as well as meat, eggs, vegetables, fruits, nuts, etc.
Modern food and additives that haven't been around more than 30 years -- usually bad for you (Aspartame, splenda, olean, vegetable oil, processed foods)
