Now, now, Roscoe - relax. I have a writing project that involves being accurate about Our Lady of LaSalette and this quote in particular. As I said. Only yesterday I ran across info that said the quote was questionable. I assumed that I could come to this site to find advice from experienced trads regarding good, reliable sources concerning the subject. Some of these people are well read and charitable. It's the only reason I posted. Sorry it raises your hackles. God bless you, Roscoe.

It is not contained in the report of what Our Lady spoke to Maximin and Melanie together, or to the secret which Our Lady revealed to Maximin.

I am aware that this part of the message has been controversial. I believe that La Salette was the first time Our Lady appeared to children and the Church did not know how to handle it. The children were not protected from predators who wanted to use them for their own purposes and the ensuing chaos placed doubt on the apparition altogether.
