  • After much prayer and discussion with my wonderful husband, I have decided to leave this forum for awhile.  I do not want to.  It is not personal and has nothing to do with anyone here.  Initially, I was simply going to change my profile or start a new account, but I thought this decision would be more appropriate.

I love this forum!  Cathinfo has been such a blessing in my life.  When I knew nothing about traditional Catholicism, I came here and have been able to have my questions and concerns answered with charity and clarity.

But I am leaving now because the priest at my parish is stalking me here.  He is printing out my conversations here and asking people if they know who I am.  For the last 3 weeks at least, he has repeated everything I say in his sermons.

I will be lurking here, so I will be around.  May Our Lord and Our Blessed Mother aid the faithful in persevering through this crisis!

I am going to post in greater detail in the SSPX-Rome agreement thread.  If you want to know more please go there.

  • Sad, pitiful conduct by these priests.  Why don't they clean up their act, start acting like Catholics instead of cult followers of the +Fellay cabal?

They can't handle criticism, so they are trying to single out and cause to be ostracized those who tell the truth about them.

  • It's sad that this is what things have come to, when your own priest is stalking you and trying to hurt your reputation. But this is one of many unfortunate examples of the SSPX being a Trad group gone wrong. Certainly not because of those in the Society such as +Williamson and Fr. Chazal, but because of priests like yours, and Fr. Rostand. These priests belong in the FSSP, not the SSPX. Their mindset does not match that of Archbishop Lefebvre's.

I wonder if your priest will learn ANYTHING from reading here. So far, it doesn't look like it.

Anyway, prayers for you and your family CathMom. Hope you return soon.

    God Bless.
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

  • God Bless you.

Thank you for your all your kindness.  I really admire you as a mother.

I hope your priest realizes that he is pushing away a wonderful role model for other ladies here. :(

  • Strange: That sounds like the sort of thing a husband could "have a conversation" with him about.

  • Dear CathMomof7,

I have been lurking here for a long while and have always enjoyed the posts and learned much.  I really feel out of my league in posting replies, and so have always hesitated.  I think it has worked out as a blessing because we can pass along information that we receive about the crisis without anyone being sure who we are.  At this point, being anonymous is important if we continue the fight and stay at our chapels.

I have been dying to do this... :boxer:

I have seen similar behavior before in "Traddieland."

As it is written in Sacred Scriptures, "Nothing under the sun is new, neither is any man able to say: Behold this is new: for it hath already gone before in the ages that were before us" (Eccles. ch. i., 10-14).

This hearkens back to the lamentation of the Prophet Ezechiel (ch. xix., 10-14) upon the devastated vine that the Lord God had planted but which the iniquities and coninquinations of the apostate Jєωs had wasted:

    Quote
Thy mother is like a vine in thy blood planted by the water: her fruit and her branches have grown out of many waters. And she hath strong rods to make sceptres for them that bear rule, and her stature was exalted among the branches: and she saw her height in the multitude of her branches. But she was plucked up in wrath, and cast on the ground, and the burning wind dried up her fruit: her strong rods are withered, and dried up: the fire hath devoured her. And now she is transplanted into the desert, in a land not passable, and dry. And a fire is gone out from a rod of her branches, which hath devoured her fruit: so that she now hath no strong rod, to be a sceptre of rulers. This is a lamentation, and it shall be for a lamentation.

Why did such a thing happen to the ancient Israelites?

Ezechiel had seen the cause of such havoc (ch. viii., 16-18), which the 34th chapter of his Prophecy depicts more explicitly:

    Quote
And he brought me into the inner court of the house of the Lord: and behold at the door of the temple of the Lord, between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men having their backs towards the temple of the Lord, and their faces to the east: and they adored towards the rising of the sun. And he said to me: Surely thou hast seen, O son of man: is this a light thing to the house of Juda, that they should commit these abominations which they have committed here: because they have filled the land with iniquity, and have turned to provoke me to anger? and behold they put a branch to their nose. Therefore I also will deal with them in my wrath: my eye shall not spare them, neither will I shew mercy: and when they shall cry to my ears with a loud voice, I will not hear them.

Is it because the clerics of Holy Mother Church had been unfaithful and remiss in their sacred offices and duties that our Lord has deigned to visit us with such calamities? Perhaps Our Lady of the Rosary at Fatima meant to warn them of this very thing in the Third Secret, that they may amend and repair for their negligence, which allowed modernism to pervert the clergy and layfolk.

Why does the ecclesiastical crisis continue to this day?

The following commentary upon the Holy Gospel ought to be an occasion of examination of conscience to those who God has called unto Himself as Priests and Bishops in these calamitous days.

The following [which was written for Priests and those aspiring to Sacred Orders] is taken from Daily Breviary Meditations: Meditations for Every Day on the Scriptural Lessons of the Roman Breviary, in accordance with the Encyclical "Divino Afflante," vol. 2, written by His Excellency the Most Rev. Joseph Angrisani, Bishop of Casale-Monferrato (trans. Rev. Fr. Joseph A. McMullin; New York: Benziger Brothers, Inc., 1954).

I'm very sorry to hear this. And I appreciate your brave posts.

What Max Krah and his Neo-SSPX helpers have been doing for years in the German speaking SSPX districts, happens now in the USA, too.

However, it's not Krah who introduced this kind of Stalinism in the Neo-SSPX. He's just a symptom, not the problem.
The Neo-SSPX' problem is the betrayal of the truth. God doesn't reward this.

  • How many Catholic mothers of 7 are there at your parish?

Cannot be too difficult to work out who you are.

This has happened several times in the SSPX in the English speaking world. Other times it has been the more rigourist priests, calling out those they see as compromisers or trouser wearers.

  • I would speak to your husband about this but is there someone over him you can go to?  I'm sure others find it alarming too? If he does this I'm sure he does other bizarre behavior.
Take the priest factor our and look at it the situation. You have a person  obsessed with anonymous postings on an internet board to the point of speaking about it in a public setting about it and using those he is in authority over to assist him in finding the identity of the poster.

my, my, hello George Orwell...what is up with Comrade Priest?? Not enough to do? If he is truly worried about your soul, then a one-one would be good....if not, perhaps he needs a hobby as his priestly duties not keeping him sufficiently busy.....

Pray for this priest and others, true.......also, Catolic Mom, might be helpful to save his emails, letters and if possible, tape his sermons,etc....and keep an eye on who he hangs with, he wants to clamp down on you, his superior might find it helpful if he is, lets say, too chummy with some of the ladies-or fellows...get my drift?

Some emails, over yrs, I have kept too, just in case.....
