    • Forgive my ignorance but are there any ? I would love to give myself or someone a collection of hymns in a Catholic Cathedral with a full volume pipe organ accompaniment . Any suggestions , I live in the UK .

    Grosser Gott appears in a lot of Protestant hymnals.

    The only hymns of Catholic origin that Protestants do not use are the Marian hymns.

    I don't think that there is a single hymnal with 4-part setting that includes only Catholic hymns.

    Also interesting to note that a lot of old German hymns (the ones not based on secular songs) are actually based on pre-Reformation tunes.

    • They don't have a pipe organ, but I like these hymns.  All of their CDs are good, but that one is my favorite and many (most?) of their recordings have orchestra accompaniment.

    Holy God We Praise Thy Name is in the Episcopal, Lutheran, and Methodist hymnals.
