  • My aunt says this is 1/2 block from her office:

    .
It's hard to tell how deep the water is or what it's covering up. But that looks like a street intersection.
    .
To the person making the video, they're already familiar with what that scene normally looks like.
    .
The last few seconds zoom in so you can see the tops of submerged cars in the distance.

(Excerpt from this video shown below) This laundromat was in an unreinforced concrete block building.
    .

Near end of video liquor store is shown across the street with broken windows and cases of liquor seen inside the open windows. The reporter says this says a lot about the residents in the area who are eager to help and nobody's looting.

  • Shocking Drone Footage Shows Harvey's "Unprecedented" Devastation, "No Parallel To Any Rainstorm In US History" [VIDEO]

Shocking Drone Footage Shows Harvey's "Unprecedented" Devastation, "No Parallel To Any Rainstorm In US History"
    Zero Hedge | Aug 28, 2017
    [snip]
Based on the number of people affected, amount of water involved, and other factors, meteorologists have warned, there may be no parallel available to any other rainstorm in U.S. history as Mashable's Andrew Freeman reports Tropical Storm Harvey has dropped more than 11 trillion gallons of water on Texas, triggering catastrophic, unprecedented flooding in the Houston area.
The rains have broken all-time records, exceeding the rainfall totals seen during Tropical Storm Allison in 2001... and it could be about to get a lot worse as forecasters are expecting the storm to turn back and drench what is left of Houston once again midweek.
According to Ryan Maue, a meteorologist at WeatherBell, a private forecasting firm, there is still up to 16 trillion gallons more rain likely to fall in the state, based on forecasts from the National Weather Service (NWS).
The Weather Service office in Houston reported just over 2 feet of rain in 24 hours between 7 a.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Sunday morning, causing August to become the wettest month on record there. Forecast totals call for isolated rainfall amounts of up to 50 inches before Harvey finally releases its grip on the Lone Star state late this week. If this comes to fruition, it would be the greatest rainfall totals from a tropical storm or hurricane in U.S. history.
Maue estimates that a total of around 25 trillion gallons may be the final statewide rainfall total for Harvey, which is such a unique storm due to its slow-moving nature that the NWS has nearly run out of superlatives describing it.

    [HERE'S THE KICKER]

Damage from Hurricane Harvey is expected to total tens of billions of dollars, with current estimates range from $20 billion to $40 billion, but an unusually large share of victims lacking adequate protection - only one in six have insurance.

That's no runway. That's a LAKE. The only planes landing there will be hydroplaning.

    Thank you. We're fine.
We had some minor house damage, but much less rain here than they anticipated.
The sun came back out here Monday morning.

  • I don't understand why people are out in their cars during a storm like that (especially pic #2).  It's not like there was no warning.

Are they vying for a Darwin Award?

It seems the storm was over when the people came out. They're trying to get out of the flood.

I guess if you have 4 feet of water in your house there is no place else to go but "out".  Don't think I'd risk a car trip though, maybe on foot.

JIM STONE: LOOTERS SHOOTING AT (White) RESCUERS THANKS TO CNN

LOOTERS SHOOTING AT RESCUERS THANKS TO CNN
Yesterday I posted the twitter account for looters bragging about looting white people in Houston. I was a little bit skeptical they would be that brazen about it, but today we have confirmation that it is the case.
Yesterday afternoon looters opened fire on the cajun Navy, which consists of hundreds of people from neighboring states who drove to Houston with their boats, to go through the flooded areas and rescue people from the floodwaters.
Facebook has not been kind, and has removed all references to these shootings from the Cajun Navy's web sites, citing that they are "racially insensitive." However, even CNN picked up the story (because they can't bear the hatred they have spawned and "made up for it" by telling the truth for once.)
The Cajun Navy is now on standby with holes in a few boats and no one injured. Their method is going to be to arm themselves and go out with guns to defend themselves.
"I can't even begin to think of a punishment that would satisfy justice for looters that are trying to shoot people in rescue boats. Absolute insanity to try and kill the people doing their best to save lives. People are dying in Houston due to flooding, and we have idiots running around trying to kill people.

These people will hopefully be stopped, captured and brought to justice. I can't imagine how much hatred must be in a man's heart to bring themselves to fire on the people trying to save lives.

Hopefully they quickly learn that bullets are fully capable of flying in both directions. "

My comment: CNN spawned that hatred. It is 100 percent the result of lies and propaganda spewed by CNN and others of their ilk. And then CNN has the audacity to interview you as a "friend"??!!???

CNN needs to be routed and burned to the ground. They are a subversive enemy agent, and the results of their spew just showed clearly when it spawned attacks on rescue workers just because they were white.

I remember reading about the Long Beach Earthquake that caused wide spread damaged in the southern California area
in 1933.  Over 100 people were killed.  No reports of looting. Every able person helping others.  For some, had to live in tent cities.

  • Another report of tge shootings:

    http://talkradio960.com/cajun-navy-members-shot-at/

A member of the Cajun Navy reports that they are being shot at while in Texas.
Clyde Cain told a host on HLN that rescuers were shot at when they couldn’t fit more people in their boats.
There are also reports out, by CNN, that suggest some in Houston are are attempting to rob the rescuers of their boats. One team’s boat broke down and while they were seeking shelter, locals attempted to steal their boat.
Some members of the “Cajun Navy” were forced to abort rescue efforts in areas of Houston due to the dangerous/hostile conditions.
A member of the Cajun Navy is scheduled to speak to Sean Hannity on the radio. CLICK HERE to listen.
We are following this developing story out of Texas. Please keep all of those risking their lives in your thoughts and prayers.
UPDATE: The spokesperson for the Cajun Navy now says that the shots fired may have been coming from looters who did not want the rescuers in the area. Luckily, no one was inured.

We are learning more about this story out of Houston. There have been many conflicting reports since this story surfaced on Monday August 28, 2017. Now, authorities in Houston say that the rescuers were NOT shot at during rescue operations.
We hope for the best and hope that rescuers can continue saving lives in southern Texas.

  • Today is the 12th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina - what's going on in Houston puts Katrina to shame. Easily one of the worst natural disasters this country has ever seen and easily something that will permanently change Houston.

If people are trying to help you in your collapsing, flooding city and you shoot them, you deserve to have your boat sink and I mean that. Evil of the highest degree.
Remember O most gracious Virgin Mary...
