The music is God Moving Over the Face of the Waters (Heat) by Moby on his album "The Original Gangsters" - or so says Shazam on my iPhone.

The beginning sounds very much like something by Steve Reich or middle-late Philip Glass. One or the other must be the influence.

Yes - you can get an app for iPhone called "Shazam" which listens to an excerpt of music, sends it to a central server, and returns the name of the song and album with links to buy it on iTunes. It is very very useful.
