  • I'll start with mine. It's either Kehfapowlos or Kefapavlos.

  • Well, it depends. It means "Jesus the King" in Dutch, and in Dutch, it would be "Yay-zoos duh ko-nin hhhhg (gs are guttural in Dutch)"
    Remember O most gracious Virgin Mary...

  • I don't think I need to participate in this thread :)

    I'm not a Beatnik, pretentious poet, or modern artist. That is to say, my name is pronounced just as it's spelled, just as one would expect -- that super common name from the 70's and 80's :)

  • Nah-deerrrr (accent on the second syllable, roll the r).

    Meaning in English: the lowest or most unsuccessful point in a situation, rock-bottom, the depths;
    In astronomy, the point on the celestial sphere directly below an observer.
    It has other meanings in other languages.
    Help of Christians, guard our land from assault or inward stain,
    Let it be what God has planned, His new Eden where You reign.

  • "YOO-ven-AL-iss"

    It's the Latin form of Juvenal, author of the Satire, among other things he did:

  • .

    Kneel, like what you do when you stand up, as it were, on your knees during the Consecration, or, if you're disobedient to the local ordinary, what you do in your pew after receiving Communion.

    OB (like in obtuse, or an angle greater than 90 degrees but less than 180) + stat (like in statistics, or what they say in the hospital to mean "hurry up").  BTW, has nothing to do with obstetrics.
