Title: How do we handle hauntings and the paranormal?

I just watched a docuмentary from Discovery channel called A Haunting, and there was one episode set a couple towns over from where I'm in school. This is some pretty freaky stuff. How do I make sure these spirits will never harass me?

There was a situation in a small town near where I live. There were demonic manifestations at this house. The people went to the priest and had him come out. The priest brought holy water and prayed and the manifestations continued. The priest came out again and brought a book with prayers written in Latin. He prayed, sprinkled holy water everywhere. The manifestatins continued. This time the priest called his uncle who was an experienced excorcist. His uncle said, "Have the family pray the rosary." The family did this every day. The manifestations disapeared.

Pray for the Poor Souls and there will be no reason for them to bother you. That's what they're after.

I've heard numerous anecdotes of "noises upstairs" and what not, and after the Rosary was said for them (sometimes repeatedly), the noises went away.

But if it's a demon, you'd need an exorcist. A traditional one, of course. The devil laughs at the modern rite of exorcism.

Either way, keep a good prayer life, keep yourself right with God, and you'll have nothing to fear in this life or the next.
