Anyone who is a Traditional Catholic before they get married
should be aware of the enormous blessing they have received
already.
And any difficulties they encounter as a consequence they
ought to chalk up to their own, personal cross to bear, and it
ought to be another thing to be thankful for! Welcome to
the real Faith.
I was a trad before I was married but I didn't know it yet.
You won't very likely meet a good spouse at a bar or at a
rock concert or at a Moose lodge. You won't find them
hanging around the beach in the summer, mostly naked, or
going to the movies.
I met my wife in church. That's where you meet a good
spouse.
Or, maybe at a church social, like Oktoberfest or Christmas
boutique.Or, a Sunday afternoon potluck in the park.
And don't forget that it's the Faith that matters, and no
matter how much other things are important, in the long
run, the difference of religious dogma is going to be a major
cross to bear for the rest of your life. It affects your children,
too. Having both parents sharing the same faith is a very
powerful testimony and backdrop for the childhood of your
offspring, especially in these days.
