Hello Gillandro, and welcome to CathInfo.
What you must really ask yourself is, How can I know the truth about God and know it with certainty? for on this question the truth about your origin, purpose, nature and destiny depends.
If you read the holy writings of the prophets and wise men of Israel, you will see among other lofty teachings prophecies concerning the Messiah to come, some of them quite detailed, explicit and specific. Perhaps you already believe in them, perhaps you do not, but in any case they were written several centuries before Christ.
And if you examine the life of Jesus of Nazareth when He walked here on earth and study His life, teachings and Person, you will see that He fulfilled these prophecies and showed Himself the promised Messiah. After being publicly put to death, He rose from the dead to demonstrate His certain power over death and hell and announce the future resurrection. He commissioned eyewitness to proclaim His message everywhere which they did, gladly suffering and dying for what they declared to have seen with their own eyes. A mere generation after He was crucified there, the temple in Jerusalem was destroyed by Roman hands, according to His word and in divine judgment, and the Jєωιѕн sacrifices ceased forever.
In this way, God shows His certain and discernible hand over all of history.
