This is probably old news, and I have no idea who this guy is (I'm more or less a hermit and don't care), but apparently he is somebody that lots of other people have heard of, and when he tried to cover an event about journalism, he was denied access (and worse), because essentially, he possesses an opposite point of view to someone at the event, being awarded for their journalism.

Whether or not one cares the first bit about the political ideas of this man (most of us know that's more or less a waste of time), what happens to this guy, when he is literally doing nothing, and how he is treated, has got everything to do with freedom of speech and press, and it's condition in this country.

Nothing we didn't already know, but... it's always interesting to see it proved in front of one's eyes.
