As I've said before, the ignores are really meaningless.  Some take them as insults, some as compliments.  Some use the hide button to protect themselves, some use them to hurt people.  The number of ignores should surely not be posted---they shouldn't be an issue, at all.  

We could all be more mannerly and we certainly could all manage to ask if we don't understand what another meant before taking umbrage.  Before taking umbrage.  Nine times out of ten, we will find that we didn't understand.  

Cheryl took exception to my saying do a search.  Why is everyone so testy?  Why is this board about attacking people so that one expects to be attacked and doesn't even stop to consider that no attack was meant?  It is the attacking that I'm against and I can only conclude that people like attacking, so they see attacks where they aren't.

I wonder if I'm the only one who has noticed, but I did observe that after the link to this site on Angel Queen, there were a lot more ignores on long established members.  It seemed to me that the ignore count jumped for those who are Sede, and those who are Sede friendly (Belloc).

Trinity, I didn't take exception to what you said, just the tone.  By nature, I'm not testy.  If I were inclined to be testy, today would be the day I would be so.  The temps here are already in the mid-eighties, with the humidity just about as high.  I've spent the morning with my back problem flaring up and having to work in the garden.  Oh, did I mention that there's ragweed in the air?  All that know me, know that I have a great sense of humor and the ability to make the lemons of life into lemonade.  I always say, if I can't laugh at myself, who can I laugh at? :roll-laugh1:
