  • I just read today that Hong Kong has joined the list of countries pulling its gold out of New York vaults, and bringing it "home".

This corroborates what I heard about the poles shifting in 2010, which will cause both coasts to be under water.

The Vatican closed its library -- for the first time in several CENTURIES. They're moving their awesome collection of books -- somewhere else.

The CIA moved its operation in Virginia to the mountains of Colorado with no explanation -- what do they know that we don't?

Dozens of countries are digging massive tunnels in mountain ranges -- for some reason.

Google it if you don't believe me.

2012 is a distraction. They know that most people won't prepare until 3 or 4 months beforehand -- just like they did with Y2K. So if everyone has 2012 in their mind, they will be caught flat-footed when natural disaster strikes in 2010.

It's recalling it's gold from London to.  See, they want to make sure that when the sea rises, ALL of their gold gets sunk, and the safest place they thought of putting it, was at Hong Kongs  airport which lies on water.

Hong Kong is pulling all its physical gold holdings from depositories in London, transferring them to a high-security depository newly built at the city's airport, in a move that won praise from local traders Thursday.

The 3,660-square-foot depository, located at the city's main Chek Lap Kok Airport, will serve as a "storage facility for local and overseas government institutions," according to the government statement.

Here is a nice picture of the airport.

  • I didn't know that Hong Kong Airport was built in the middle of a body of water.

Either they're not really going to store it there, or they're really, really dumb.

  • Vandaler, how do you explain how a disproportionate number of retired Navy veterans (and those in the Navy currently) have bought land in the Ozarks? Apparently, it's one area the Navy recommends to its people, saying it will be a safe area.

I learned this from that lecture that was formerly posted on youtube -- it's been taken down for mysterious reasons.

The speaker said that at one conference, an insurance agent came up to him, introduced himself, and said that, "I always wondered why so many ex-Navy were living in that area!"

I'm sure it's easy enough to verify that fact.

In fairness V, that might be what they say.  If, say they needed to stash it, they'd have to do it in some other country than Hong Kong.

    In fairness ?

With this level of fairness, anyone can pickup any news story, edit it out, or change just whatever they want and make it say whatever they so choose.  Well, OK,  in fact this is done regularly here and I don't care so much.

Where this is funny or discouraging - you take your pick -, is that the move is being presented as evidence for a foreknowledge 2010 pole shift and if it was written originally will all the details laid out, it would read like a satirical piece right out of the "The Onion".

As for your properties... if you have a nice view, and groceries aren't to difficult for your wife to take up to the house, I respect your choice.

I'm not sure why you are defending Matthew's mediocrity in his opening post.  He blundered, and it's just that.  I'm not holding him to it, or saying that he is stupid.  I only say that his post his mediocre, to the point of being humorous.

  • I'll admit, I didn't know the Hong Kong airport was on water. I shouldn't have included that in an otherwise important story -- it might serve to discredit the whole post.

I like having Vandaler around, as sometimes he helps with small points like this. I wouldn't credit him with seeing the big picture, as he tends to miss the forest for the trees. But he's certainly a "tree expert", to extend the metaphor.

Anyhow, there's only one way to deal with this situation.

    1. Thank Vandaler for his research and contribution to the thread.
    2. Admit I made a mistake about Hong Kong Airport.
    3. Lock the thread. (I don't delete things)
    4. Start a new thread, with Hong Kong left out of it.

That seems to be the best path to take.

I certainly don't want such an important topic derailed because I made a small mistake.
