RE: Intelligently Defending “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”
       ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖism in the Military

 
Dear Elaine:
 
I have followed the Center’s work for the past several years and would very much like it to succeed in its mission. I have, however, never seen the Center draw a parallel between the preference for biologically aberrant sɛҳuąƖ behavior or aberrosɛҳuąƖism and the preference for marihuana/drug usage or adultery, both of which are grounds for discharge under the Code of Military Justice.
 
This parallel is important because it helps everyone understand just how ridiculous and spurious the arguments against excluding from behaviors acceptable for the military, the preference for biologically aberrant sɛҳuąƖ behavior or aberrosɛҳuąƖism.
 
Should the Center take the time to research how many servicemen are discharged for marihuana/drug use, it will discover that infinitely MORE servicemen are discharged for this reason than for preferring biologically aberrant sɛҳuąƖ behavior or aberrosɛҳuąƖism.
 
AN EYEOPENING COMPARISON
 
The Center can then ask why those pushing to allow servicemen to openly display their preference for biologically aberrant sɛҳuąƖ behavior or aberrosɛҳuąƖism, are not willing to push to allow servicemen to openly display their preference for marihuana/drug use and/or adultery as well.
 
Why can’t those who prefer marihuana /drug use and/or adultery be allowed to openly serve their country? Why are marihuana/drug users and/or adulterers forced to hide their preference to avoid discharge? Why do marihuana/drug users and/or adulterers have to live in fear of being discovered? Can’t marihuana/drug users and/or adulterers be patriots, too, along with aberrosɛҳuąƖs? Why aren’t they allowed to serve their country? Why can’t they be allowed to openly be “who they are”!? Aren’t marihuana/drug users and/or adulterers people too?
 
It’s also important to show that the long-term public health costs for those who prefer biologically aberrant sɛҳuąƖ behavior are infinitely GREATER than the costs for those who prefer to be marihuana users or adulterers. Biologically aberrant sɛҳuąƖ behavior is a clinically proven vector or transmitter of AIDS, hepatitis, genital herpes and many other sɛҳuąƖly transmitted diseases that cost the taxpayers millions upon millions of dollars a year in medical care and treatment.
 
The preference for biologically aberrant sɛҳuąƖ behavior or aberrosɛҳuąƖism does NOT define who a person IS, any more than does the preference to engage in adultery, marihuana/drug use, shoplifting, or any other type of behavior or conduct. A person’s “humanness” is NOT contingent on their preference for any type of behavior or conduct.
 
Therefore, it is extremely deceptive to portray those who prefer to engage in aberrosɛҳuąƖ behavior as “being” the behavior they have freely and voluntarily preferred to engage in.
 
Once the Center starts making this simple parallel, it will find it much easier making the argument FOR a policy requiring biologically correct sɛҳuąƖ behavior or orthosɛҳuąƖity, or, at a minimum, the current DADT compromise-policy.
 
SANTORUM’S MISSED OPPORTUNITY
 
Senator Rick Santorum recently missed a great opportunity to point out this truth in a recent Republican presidential forum, when a soldier who claimed (we don’t know for sure what he does in private) to prefer biologically aberrant sɛҳuąƖ behavior said: “I had to lie about who I was, because I am a gαy solider and I didn’t want to lose my job.”
 
Sen. Santorum should have pointed out that no one IS the behavior they claim to prefer, regardless of what that behavior is. Just imagine an adulterous soldier stating: “I’ve had to lie about who I am --an adulterous soldier-- for fear of losing my job”? Or a pot using soldier stating: “As a pot-user, I’ve had to lie about who I am because I don’t want to lose my job.”
 
Sen. Santorum could well have answered the shameless soldier’s question as follows:
 
“A serviceman’s preference of sɛҳuąƖ partners does not define who he is as human being any more than his preference of any other type of conduct. Our Armed Forces have the right –and the obligation-- to demand appropriate sɛҳuąƖ behavior from its members. And those who engage in inappropriate behavior have to face the consequences. Now, you may not like that your particular behavior preference is historically and legally deemed inappropriate in our Armed Forces, but it is what it is. You knew the rules when you applied for the job. Is it fair and ethical for you to now undermine those rules? No, you have to own what you did. Don’t you think you are a little too big to be whining about it now?”
 
The Center’s objectives would have benefitted immensely on Capitol Hill and The White House had Sen. Santorum given that response on national TV! Why wasn’t he as well as the other leaders on the stage that night, ready with this kind of clear, forthright answer?
 
ABERROsɛҳuąƖISM: THE IDEOLOGY
 
Ultimately, the Center needs to bring out the fact that biologically aberrant sɛҳuąƖ behavior or aberrosɛҳuąƖism is NOT merely a behavior. It is also the name of an extremist ideology or set of ideas that seeks to force upon society the “normalization” of abnormal, unhygienic, health injurious, and medically harmful pseudo-sɛҳuąƖ behaviors of ALL types, including, ɧoɱosɛҳųαƖism, bisɛҳuąƖism, zoophilism, lesbianism, necrophilism, sadomasochism, voyeurism, fetichism, and scopophilism, among others.
 
It’s extremely useful that the Center make the distinction between those who freely chose to engage in biologically aberrant sɛҳuąƖ conduct or aberrosɛҳuąƖism, and those, many times not an aberrosɛҳuąƖ himself, who seek to force upon us the aberrosɛҳuąƖist ideology or the extremist, antisocial, anti-Christian set of ideas that pushes as "normal," "healthy," and "sane," sɛҳuąƖ behaviors that deviate from what is universally considered acceptable, normal, healthy, or biologically correct. The partisans of this macabre ideology are hateful, hostile and, at times, quite nasty and violent, against everyone that prefers to disagree with their ideology.
 
The Center undermines the effectiveness of its work by failing to point out the part about aberrosɛҳuąƖism being an IDEOLOGY that pushes an antisocial, anti-Life, anti-Family, anti-ecological, anti-Christian agenda rabidly opposed the traditional Western concepts of human sɛҳuąƖity, monogamous marriage, and the family. This extremist ideology also dangerously undermines the discipline, morale and combat readiness of our armed forces.
 
As a veteran journalist, communications specialist, and world-connected researcher of the phenomena of aberrosɛҳuąƖism and the aberrosɛҳuąƖist ideology or set of ideas pushing the macabre “celebration” of biologically aberrant sɛҳuąƖ behavior in society, I am available to assist the Center in formulating successful communications strategies to accomplish the Center’s mission and vision.
