Isn't that one of those dumb Lifetime movies? I think an english teacher made us watch it once.

I think it is a lifetime movie, but I didn't think it was dumb. Anyway, I thought of that regarding these dead college students and how much went into their just getting there, only to be gunned down. Made it even more personal.

You might be right about that, but I think she continued her studies elsewhere. I don't think Harvard itself was her big dream, just getting off the streets and her parents life style.

Never seen the movie... from IMDB

The reason that Liz Murray left Harvard was so that she could be transferred to another school, which would be less expensive than Harvard (for which she was only receiving $12,000 a year with her scholarship) and also closer to her father, who is very ill with AIDs.

Thanks, Vandaler. You should watch the movie. In spite of Campy's critique, it's an amazing story. It made me wonder how many other amazing stories died the other day.

It was a good movie - I saw it. Amazing girl.
