My son's Marian prie dieu. Our Lady of Guadalupe in the background is a photograph mosaic picture, used to create the image of Our Blessed Mother. The photos used are different stages of our sacramental life, the interior and exterior of our church, and the boys serving on the altar. Literally hundreds of picture used to create the image.

I had this prie dieu made. The builder did not have the carving skills he claimed, but it has grown on me. It's made of solid white oak, and has a medium hand rubbed stain.

I rescued this kneeler from Belgium. It is from the late 1800's and the carving is remarkable. The hinged top and kneeler pad, was covered in a baby blue vinyl when I purchased the piece. I guess the "spirit" of Vatican II left no stone unturned. I removed the vinyl, and found fabric that is more fitting for the piece. IMHO Then I applied a hand rubbed dark walnut penetrating oil and the kneeler was brought back to its original glory.
