  • I am trying to teach my boys to observe the codes of chilvary. I saw at one time that the SSPX, true knight of the realm if ever there were, have programs for young boys. Do you know where I could find this info??

    Thanks and God Bless, Dawn

  • Well, I'm not sure about classes on chivalry per se --

but I do know that a lot of our boys' schools (such as "Our Lady of La Salette" in Olivet, IL) do an excellent job of turning boys into young gentlemen. I think St. Marys, KS does a similar good job.

You just soak it up by being in such a good environment. Good manners, respect for women, etc. just grows naturally out of a young man taught to love God and practice charity.

I've met a lot of men that are very polite and would be considered gentlemen.

  • If I'm correct, Dawn's boys aren't old enough for the school in Olivet as it's a high school. But, when boarding school is a bit too much of a leap, the SSPX hosts boys' summer camps as well. Again, they're not specifically directed at chivalry, but I'm sure a few good manners might be picked up here and there.

    There's a list of these here: http://www.sspx.org/camps.htm
