"Le petit nombre qui sont sauvés" doesn't sound that idiomatic, I'd go for "Le petit nombre des élus" ( the small number of the elect ). If you are translating the St. Leonard of Port-Maurice speech, that is the agreed-upon way to do it, it seems.
