I keep getting redirected from CI to ad sites.  I know there are problems with this computer, but I wonder if anyone else has had the same thing happen.

That's odd. Not me.  Are you accidentally clicking on them?

Go buy Kaspersky. It is the best. But do not buy online whence thou havest a trojaneth, else thine hacxors will stealeth thy credit cardeth numerals, and thou havest thee a bad day.

If you're getting auto-directed anywhere, it's not from some professional ads on a professional website.

You must have some kind of malware on your PC. You normally can't get malware from just browsing the Web (visiting various non-porn websites w/ typical banner ads)

Are you by any chance using Windows XP after its April 15, 2014 end-of-life date and/or Internet Explorer?

Maria, you probably bought from Amazon without using Matthew's link?  :laugh1:

I believe she is using Devian, so I would believe no needeth for Kaspersky. (Although I do concur with soulguard, and I've seen it be the most effective over the past few years for Windows users)
