Even in the last few days the number of "ALERTS" about everything from packages found here and there, blizzards, floods in Britain, smells in New York, thousands of dead birds, on and on and on have been just non-stop. It seems that they want to keep us paranoid or on needles and pins you might say for some reason.

Yes, I've noticed most of those stories, but I hadn't noticed any particular spike in such bad news.

Though there are plenty of rumblings of war on the horizon -- it sure looks like we might be doing something against Iran VERY soon.

Just for the record, it was only 63 dead birds. Found within 4 blocks on a street downtown lined by trees, and infested with thousands of noisy birds. Truly, those blocks are the smelliest part of town.

Perhaps someone sick of all the poo was taking pellet gun shots at them. Or perhaps someone poured some antifreeze into the small fountain in front of the musuem, directly in the middle of the area where the dead birds were found.

Yeah, from what I heard the reaction to the birds was ridiculously exaggerated by the government!

Miss Fluffy, are you kidding me? The way the breathless media bobble heads acted I thought the next thing was a bird flu epidemic alert. Honestly those people can not be trusted to report anything straight.
