    May Our Lord God, through the supernal patronage and maternal tutelage of the Blessed Virgin Mary, lavish upon you the super-abundance of every actual and possible grace and blessing in the natural and supernatural orders, so “that your charity may more and more abound in knowledge and in all understanding” (Phil. cap. i., 9), so “that you may be able to comprehend with all the Saints what is the breadth, and length, and height, and depth, to know also the charity of Christ surpassing knowledge, that you may be filled unto all the fullness of God” (Eph. cap. iii., 18).

    For it was she to whom it was said of old, “Inhabit in Jacob, and inherit in Israel, and take root in mine elect” (Ecclus. cap. xxiv., 13)—and this sacred mystery our Lord Jesus revealed and fulfilled, declaring unto this same Blessed Virgin as He was dying upon the Cross, “Woman, behold thy son” (St. John cap. xix., 26).

    I commend you to the maternal providence of our Blessed Mother, to whom it behooves you to have childlike recourse in prayer and contemplation, that she herself may guide you in the cultivation of the interior life and the attainment of Christian perfection, as Holy Mother Church says, Egredimini et videte, filiæ Sion, Reginam vestram, quam laudant astra matutina: cujus pulchritudinem sol et luna mirantur, et jubilant omnes filii Dei, "Go ye forth and behold, O daughters of Sion, your Queen, whom the morning stars extol: before whose beauty the sun and moon marvel, and all the sons of God rejoice" (Introit for the Mass of the Feast of Blessed Mary the Virgin, Queen of All Saints and Mother of Beautiful Love, cf. Cant. cap. iii., 11; die 31 Maji, Missæ propriæ quæ in aliquibus locis celebrari possunt, Missale Romanum)

    This same celestial Queen shall you yourself extol and before her beauty shall you marvel in the supra-sidereal kingdoms of Heaven by the grace of God.
