Thanks everyone, especially SS for remembering the date.
Having your birthday on St. Patrick's Day every year is, well, eventful I guess.
When I was just a kid, my father used to tell me they were having a special celebration just for my birthday as we boarded the train in NYC for the big parade every year. Of course, I saw from a young age just how paganized that parade really is, but to be honest, it was much worse years ago, NYC was a total zoo in the old days, then the sodomites sacked the day because of the Church's refusal to recognize "gαy" Irish so they could sashay up and down 5th ave like a bunch of fruitcakes mocking the very nature of the parade itself.
Anyway, as I get older I'm having less and less tolerance for young drunken idiots.
Also, this whole controversy every year about whether Patrick was really Catholic of Protestant. For crying out lout, there was no "protestant" church until the 1500's and Martin Luther and even for a while then Luther was reluctant to consider himself "not Catholic". But Patrick was most certainly Catholic, whether he can be considered true "Irish" is up for debate, which he probably isn't, he was more of Roman-Briton stock from what I've read over the years.
Having said all this, thanks again and sorry for the late reply, I've been without a PC for about a week due to lack of availability for family reasons. No big deal though, the time off line is refreshing to me and I back off every now and again anyways. It's good for the soul.
