I have looked up the recent news in Chibatao, Brazil.
I have found nothing of this event.
I pray that I did not post a fake video.
I have no idea how a video like this can be faked.
And be there at the right time, and the right place
to film such an event.

Got confirmation that this event really did happened:

Dramatic video footage has emerged showing the moment a landslide ripped through the Amazonian port of Chibatão, Manaus, Brazil.

The security camera footage shows the torrential flows of mud that swept through the riverside container terminal in the late morning of Sunday 17 October as maintenance work was being carried out.

Two port workers – 31-year-old Pedro Paulo, and 63-year-old Sílvio Barbosa Silva – were confirmed as missing. However, Carlos Gonzaga, president of Sindicargas, the local stevedores union, said he believed at least 10 people could had been swept to sea.

Hello,
I am a long time lurker. I used to be at Fisheaters and left over the mess it became. Then, I registered at Incorruptibles but I really don't write that much anymore. I am a lurker by nature :cool:
Anyway, I am a trad mom of 5. I am from Brazil and I just had to come here because of this video posted above.
I too thought it was a hoax. I read and watch the news everyday and did not see this anywhere.
So I looked for it in Portuguese. To my surprise, it is real, it did happen but the news here kept it very quite. It did not make to TV, only written news. And with comments closed.
I find it very weird that such a huge landslide is kept a secret.
So, I can asure you it was not a hoax.
Now, back to my lurking state. :kick-can:

This shows that the news, and the media is controlled,
and managed.
I do not know why they would hide this landslide from
the news when they are reporting about the hurricane
that hit Haiti, and the volcanoes in the South Pacific.
The only excuse is that they do not want to report on
more bad news than they do. I am sure that there are
people in Brazil, and all over the world that may have
a family member that may have been affected by this
landslide.
I once worked for a Hotel that is on a earthquake zone.
Because it was built on soft ground, it could sink very
fast into the sea. After viewing this video, things can
happened very fast in a blink of an eye.
