    • The spite of some of these "guests" in the Guest Forum is disgraceful.

    Some of these people are amazingly vindictive.


    We need to prevent such vile lack of fraternal Charity from affecting how we behave on the main part of the Forum.

    You need to get out of the Guest Forum.


    Some of the people there are astonishingly vindictive.
    You cannot win there.
    It is all stacked against you.
    You post as yourself. They post as guests. You are at a massive disadvantage.
    They are out to discredit you.
    If you stay there, they will succeed.

    If you stay in the serious part of CathInfo, you can win debates – because people are accountable and have to present an argument. As opposed to the shocking insults in that Guest forum.

    It is like a bear  pit.

    And if you are there, they will win.

    I understand the temptation to enter and refute their lies.

    But you cannot win there.

    Post in the decent part of CathInfo, where there are moral people.

    Leave those warped people to stew. They will soon give up if you cease responding.

    You posted that you intend to cut back on CathInfo.

    That is a really good idea.

    But cut back on the part that hurting you.

    You can’t win against cowards who will not even use a user name, let alone their actual names.

    It can lead to great harm to your reputation. Which is what some of these people want.

    Cut back on CathInfo. That is a great idea.

    Do it by leaving that Guest Forum for good.


    Make your accurate and perceptive posts in the serious part of CathInfo.

    Here, there are people Catholic enough to appreciate them.

    Raoul, do you know how much of a loss it would be to this forum if you were banned?  It would be a truly great loss!  I, for one, count you as one of the best posters here.

    • I think the moderation here in terms of allowing many different opinions is very good.

    There should be no place though for members calling each other pharisee, creep, heretic,....etc, etc.etc. Equally, calling large groups of people dirty, liars, etc, etc. In this respect, the moderation is severely lacking.

    If this was a private forum and members understand that name calling is fine, so be it. As it is, being a public forum, there is a responsibilty before God to give a good example in order to atract people to the true faith.

    All members who are uncharitable here are responsible but it is the moderator who is ultimately responsible for allowing this kind of behavior.

    • Complaining about a lack of charity is what

    Instead only post charitably.

    Do not give legitimacy to those who do not post charitably by trying to correct them or arguing with them.  

    This only encourages more lack of charity and increases your proximity to committing that sin in turn.

    No one is obligated to respond to another post.

    I think this is a very poor excuse.
    The same reasoning could be used for tolerating any sort of evil. Yes God does see everything we do though does that mean that those of us who are in a position to stop something wrong are excused from doing something to stop it.
