  • Found this odd, any clarification possibly?

    From what I understand
Gregory of Narek was a non-Catholic and now according to Francis the 36th Doctor of the Church? How is this possible? And, why is no one speaking out against this heresy?

  • Well, that one slipped under my radar for sure.  It's merely a concrete expression of their heretical ecclesiology.

On other hand, this Gregory of Narek sounded like he was more Catholic than some of the other ones canonized by Francis, mostly notable St. Montini.

  • It could be that Gregory of Narek is recognized as a saint because he died before the Great Schism of 1054 AD when the Roman Catholic Church was still united with the Eastern Orthodox. However, the Armenians and the Coptics had refused to recognize the Council of Chalcedon and thus were considered to be heretics long before 1054 AD.

Even worse than the canonization of Gregory of Narek is news of the canonization of Martin Luther. Did this happen yet?

  • He became the 36th and the first Armenian Doctor of the Church.[91] He is also the "second saint coming out of the Eastern Church"[92] and the only Doctor "who was not in communion with the Catholic Church during his lifetime."[93]

St. Gregory of Narek lived and died as a member of Armenian Apostolic Church, making him the only Doctor who was not in communion with the Catholic Church during his lifetime.

  • Well, I never saw this either. A non-Catholic (Bergoglio) canonized a non-Catholic. A true pope can’t do such a thing.
For what doth it profit a man, if he gain the whole world, and suffer the loss of his own soul? Or what exchange shall a man give for his soul?
