  • Traditio has an axe to grind, and they have hatred of the SSPX, interpreting all their actions in the worst possible light.

Anyone who supports Traditio is NOT welcome here on CathInfo any longer.

  • I believe Traditio is over the top kinda like a traditional tabloid rag.  If you like this stuff then how can you be balanced with regards to the crisis.  Yes, modernist should be beaten with fists, but please avoid hitting Catholics with your blows.

  • I subscribe to their RSS feed, but I do not give them (or, rather, him) a dime.  My last email to them was titled, "You're acting like idiots."  However, I do think that they are free to criticize the SSPX just like they are free to criticize the NO.  Of course, when I read their material, I know that there are two sides to every story, so I take what they have to say with a pound of salt.  They are, after all, one of the few daily sources of traditional Catholic news.

  • I quit reading that site years ago.  Being fed BS by the shovelful gets old quickly.

Yes, when you read a story on their site, you can basically take away, "Oh. SOMETHING happened in such-and-such a place. I should look into it." but almost every detail in the actual story could be completely off!

It's Traditio types that create videos like the one of the Pope watching the acrobats with stripper music playing in the background. As if the Pope watching shirtless male gymnasts wasn't bad enough! Why distort things? Why exaggerate?

The cause of Truth isn't served by that.

If I wanted "Catholic" news along the lines of that which Traditio serves up, I would go to the gossiping egotistic hags for the scoop. But I dont have the time or patience to put up with either's BS.

Oh, I agree, they are definitively tabloid Catholic "news."  I definitively do not believe everything that I read there (in fact, the opposite would be true.)  I just skim the articles, looking for nuggets here and there.  For example, consider the following story:

    http://www.traditio.com/comment/com1102.htm#110211

Lots of rhetoric, etc., but some truth here:

    1)  Some Lutherans are petitioning Rome to allow Lutherans to receive the Blessed Eucharist.

    2)  Some episcopal conferences are voting to expand Canon 844.

As far as I can, the above two statements are correct.  I know this to be so from multiple sources.  However, I first learned about this on Traditio, which is all that I took from their "story."

But who knows - maybe when all is said & done, Traditio will have contributed quite a lot to helping to restore sanity to some quarters of the earthly Church.
    Kind Regards

How are you going to accomplish that through slander???
