  • My grandmother died this morning (Oct. 4). She has lived with me all my life and I had been taking care of her for the past 8 year

Please pray for the eternal repose of her soul.

She is in my prayers and I pray that Our Mother Mary takes her soul into heaven to enjoy the beatific vision and greatness of God.

  • May Our Lord give you His peace in this time of your loss.

I shall certainly pray for you and your family and for the repose of her soul.

St. Joseph, teach us to prepare in this life for a holy death.

Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.
This evil of heresy spreads itself. The doctrines of godliness are overturned; the rules of the Church are in confusion; the ambition of the unprincipled seizes upon places of authority; and the chief seat [the Papacy] is now openly proposed as a rewar

Readers: Please IGNORE all my postings here. I was a recent convert and fell into errors, even heresy for which hopefully my ignorance excuses. These include rejecting the "rhythm method," rejecting the idea of "implicit faith," and being brieflfy quasi-Jansenist. I also posted occasions of sins and links to occasions of sin, not understanding the concept much at the time, so do not follow my links.

  • So sorry, Alex. Be assured of my prayers.

    God Bless.
Please ignore ALL of my posts. I was naive during my time posting on this forum and didn’t know any better. I retract and deeply regret any and all uncharitable or erroneous statements I ever made here.

  • May God bless the sweet hours of unselfish care you have offered for Granny all these years, Alex.  May God have mercy on her soul.

I hope she has a beautiful funeral.

  • Please be assured of my prayers

Here are some prayers from the tome The True Prayers of St. Gertrude and St. Mechtilde (trans. Canon John Gray; London: Sheed & Ward, 1936), that you may find useful.

Remember: the recitation of the Holy Rosary is enriched with an indulgence of seven years throughout October, as opposed to five years as is the case with the rest of the year. You can avail yourself of these indulgences to help your late grandmother.

Please ignore all that I have written regarding sedevacantism.

  • Thank you all.

I've been crying most of the day. But, apparantly, a friend seems to think that crying over a loved one like I am doing is unChristianly. I didn't turn to him for comfort during this difficult time because I would get none from him.
