  • Are you insinuating something, Myrna?

Today must be my "defend the SSPX" day.  That is not because I've suddenly grown fond of SSPX, it's because their theological position is shaky enough that no other arguments against them are required.  Especially not inaccurate ones which work more in SSPX's favor than in ours.

There's nothing wrong with taking over Protestant properties, or Old Catholic properties.  I think you have to do some kind of ceremonial to cleanse the building or what-have-you, but apart from that, it's just a building.

Myrna, you do know Queen of Angels used to be a Prot church, right?  And Father Dominic, during a parade which closed off parking on the street, has said a Mass in a nearby Prot chapel.  I remember this gave me scruples at the time and I went to Fontana that week instead.

  • Yes, Raoul, I am the realtor who sold Queen of Angels to C.M.R.I..  At that time I was living in Calif. and had a real estate license.  I remember behind the altar was a small pool where the Protestants would dunk their members for babtism, and how we had it removed.  I myself at that time, help to sand all those pews that you today are sitting in.  We were darn lucky to obtain that property, with no parking, very little room for any growth, but it was ours at the time, was all we could afford, and now it is bursting out at the seams with people I understand.

This thread here if your read all the replies, has nothing to do with belitting SSPX, in fact, it gave me a sick feeling just thinking how we traditionalist have to be so creative to purchase anything.  Did you even read all the post there.  It says how the novus ordo would rather sell to Muslims then any traditionalist. Near the bottom of the page, there are replies from SSPX Catholics from Europe who are also complaining, it shows how the Modernist hate traditionalists.

I was just googling different things when I read what was happening at the Abbey in Al, and came across this interesting thread.  Just thought others might find it interesting too.
    Please pray for my soul.

  • I read a couple posts and the predominant theme was SSPX using churches of non-Catholics.

But I wasn't accusing you of insinuating something... I was merely asking if you were.

  • You should read all the replies there, then you will see my point, also they are very interesting.  I like to read about traditionalist and what is happening in different parts of the world, that is why I kept reading, when they started talking about the happenings in Europe.

When the Mount was purchased I was not involved with that sale at all, but I understand they too had to do some creative dealings because the novus ordo would not sell to traditionalist, even that early in the "game".

BTW.... I gave my commission back to the Church, there in Calif, not trying to boast, but it is important to me, that you and all reading know that I am not interested in making money off of my Church.  I was honored to help at that time.  I just wish we could have found a larger property.
    Please pray for my soul.
