Does anyone have some good news to share? A lot of the threads are quite heavy.

I'm hopefully going to get a tractor soon. We really need one, especially in a wet year like 2013. We were going to buy new, but that would involve being in debt for 5 years.

I just found out that a nice used one is an option, so hopefully that will work out!

And because I'd be going with the "ghetto" option, I can also afford a trailer for it as well, which I also need for various things (including picking up the good junk people throw away)

This used tractor would be financed as well, but it won't add to our monthly payments. (It's a long story.)

Isn't the point of this thread to post mundane, lighthearted things?

I realize that "good news" is the English translation of Evangelium or Gospel -- but I didn't interpret the thread title as "Good News" in capital letters.

Everyone else is posting lofty Scripture quotes, and here I am talking about a tractor! hahaha

Matthew, right now I can only dream of a tractor, but am pleased to hear you're getting one. I'm at the ATV stage. Something reliable with potential for a roll-cage because we're on hilly terrain with rambunctious sheep.

Good news! Another sheep person! (ATVs are great for sheep, not so great for tilling.)

The Good News is that Pope Francis admits that there is a gαy lobby in
the Vatican.

The bad news is that I fear that he is not going to do anything about it.

Even when I was young, the wildest thing I did was grow my hair "long" (I made it to chin length before I cut it)

I was even thinking about dying it a different color, Anime-style. I never did that.

I figured anything temporary is fair game.

If I did get a tattoo, I wonder what it would be? I've never thought about it.

Something "traditional" like an anchor on the bicep?

Something with a Resistance theme? A rural theme? Something about CathInfo? Texas? The Texas branch of the Resistance?

I think I would rule out anything religious, since I think it's disrespectful to use sacred names & images that way. And I'm not Mexican.

I guess I don't have to worry about it, since I won't be getting a tattoo.

We are eating our home-grown pumpkins.

Yesterday with half a butternut pumpkin I made pumpkin soup and today I'm gunna make pumpkin pie (or crumble).

And after that I've still got the other half in the fridge to do a repeat performance, or something else.
